Check your slide topper??..Would you rather place telescoping ladder next to the slide and climb up 5 rungs to check or clean topper OR climb up rear mounted ladder up to the roof, walk over to slide area to check or clean, walk back across roof to rear ladder and climb back down? My telescoping ladder takes up 4 inches of my closet space. Can I ask what kind of ladder you have that only takes up 4inches.. thought about putting a ladder on mine too,, but not thrilled about more holes either.Re: 22 inch wide steps?Looking at the price of these,, think I will keep what I have. Thanks anyway.Re: Slide out problem solved Hornnumb2 wrote: Not sure if you have seen this suggestion,a lot of people are using the metal door kick plates. Thank you,,, no I had not seen that, great idea though, will have to do a bit of research to figure out how to put them on so they will stay, Not sure how thick the floor is, thinking about 3/4 inch, shouldn't take much to hold it though, not like it is sliding sideways, just pushing up on it.Slide out problem solvedThe trailer I have has the Accu-slide for the slide out,, last couple of times I put the slide-out out, it hung up about half way out, had no idea what was causing the problem. Thought it was the rollers underneath that were getting hung up on something,,, wrong,, got to looking and the blocks the cables are hooked to above the slide-out behind the facia board on the front of the slide which move past each other were hitting when they by-passed,, the locking nuts that are fastened to the chains were loose which let the blocks turn. Pulled the facia off and made sure the blocks were straight up and down, tightened the lock nuts, No More problem. I still would like to put something on the bottom of the slide out for the rollers to ride on, just not sure what,, right now they are riding on the particle board they have for the floor of the slide out, and it is splintering off. Anyone done something like this,, thinking maybe some 1/8th inch metal fastened to the floor above the rollers.Re: Extra entry step RVcircus wrote: We were using the same plastic step Bobbo uses, but I just replaced my double step (it was damaged by the previous owner) with a triple step. Depending on the level of the site our first step is anywhere from a few inches off the ground to 10 inches. It's working out great for the kids so far and wasn't too expensive. Have wanted to replace my 2 step step with a 3, but can't find any to fit,,, different width, wondering how you changed yours out?Re: got it all done. DrewE wrote: Very nice work! The wood filler panel you put in looks like it came from the factory. Much more in keeping with the cabinetry than some cheap plastic rectangle frame. Thanks,, I added the door on the right side earlier, was just an open hole there,, I used Alder with a clear finish on it, no stain at all,, matches the original wood pretty good.Re: got it all done.
