Mex, Mr Wizard and anyone involved your work is appreciated! And Mex, I for one can relate to that backwoods level experience student (me with computers)comment.Re: Modifying The 36-Amp Megawatt List Of MaterialsJust curious, are the instructions with pictures for Modifying the 36-Amp Megawatt and hooking up the Intermatic Timer still being worked on or are they being posted some where else and I am missing them?Re: Modifying The 36-Amp Megawatt List Of MaterialsCount me inRe: What's a decent battery charger? Don't care if it has my name posted. Something to be mounted in a compartment. Yes, it means running power to the compartment even an extension cord. Complete with German Hunting Handbook grade instructions...and genuine pictures. I for one would love a "how-to-do-it article about setting up a Megawatt for Dummies." But have no idea how to go about requesting getting it made into a sticky.Re: Information Discussion for Gate GuardsMy wife & I will be traveling in MS & LA April thru June & would like to connect up with some active or inactive oil filed gate guards in either state. If you know of such & would share our contact information with them it would be appreciated. Our email is agruver@pld.com & phone is 620-874-0751. Also if you know of any Gate Guard Companies with offices in either state that information would also be appreciated. Web site links would be most helpful but Company Names and City where they have an office would be great. Thanks in advance! AlanRe: Roll Call Alaska 2014Haines was drizzly this morning but sun is shining now and it is beautiful here. We catch the ferry to Sitka tonight at 10:15 pm & will arrive in Sitka around 5:45 PM tomorrow. We are parked at the Chilkoot Campground across the street from the Hotel Haslingland up in the Fort William Seward historical area. Pretty basic but works for us as it is mainly a place to park the rigs while we are in Sitka and Juneau. Alan & DebRe: Roll Call Alaska 2014We left home June 17th & are now at Hi Country RV Park in Whitehorse, YT, CA. We plan on traveling to Haines, AK tomorrow, then will board the Ferry to Sitka June 2nd for a few days. Has been great so far. Beautiful country, great highways, great weather GREAT EXPERIENCE so far. Saw 12 bears one day in BC (we got pics of sow & 3 cubs that day) and 6 bear the next. Hope to get a sign made today. Wishing you all safe travels. If no boondocking locations then Campgrounds? By boondocking, you mean free, right? If you go into Hope, and over the bridge up the Canyon, right after the bridge is big pull-off. It'll be noisy, but if tired, it'd work. Heading up the Canyon, passing Skihist, the next Prov CG is Goldpan, about 1/4 mile past that is a turn off to the left. Right over the river and there are 5 spots in there. There are lots of pull-offs on the river side of the canyon but you sorta have to fight for a flat spot. Coming up past Cache Creek, just before Clinton is a turn to the right for a Prov view point, The Chasam. You can overnight in there. Heck of a view too. In Hundred Mile House, turning left at the BC Info building and about 1/4 is a big parking area next to the lake. It's quiet too. 15k's north of Quesnal, Hush Lake rest area. Oh hell..use this... http://www.th.gov.bc.ca/restareas/ Gary Haupt Good info Gary. Thanks! By boondocking I meant Provincial Parks & Campgrounds, anything but privately owned establishments. But FREE is good too! :B Spots like you mentioned "Coming up past Cache Creek, just before Clinton is a turn to the right for a Prov view point, The Chasam. You can overnight in there. Heck of a view too." "In Hundred Mile House, turning left at the BC Info building and about 1/4 is a big parking area next to the lake. It's quiet too." That link to BC rest areas will be helpful in case GPS doesn't show them. Do you know do the other provinces (Saskatchewan, Alberta, Yukon) also have a map of rest areas like the BC one? But as to the rest areas, I didn't think RV's were allowed to overnight in any Canadian rest area? So can RV's legally overnight at all Canadian "Prov view points" and "pull-offs"Re: Roll Call Alaska 2014We are looking for 2 or 3 good boondocking locations between one of the boarder crossing near Vancover and Prince George, BC.
