The Canton store really wanted me to buy their last AR-One they had had for some time. I did really like it, but they balked when I asked to look at a couple other models. When I went to do financing, my payment was suddenly $40 a month more than what we had discussed,AFTER he had supposedly talked to the bank and told me the original payment. He said the bank had made the mistake. Finally, I had an agreement that they would keep the trailer for a month and that they would put a temp tag on it when I come to get it. Called twice to confirm when I was getting it. I get there,hitch up and see it has no tag. I was told "sorry, we mailed you title out yesterday, you can't get a tag for it now." I was then told that I could haul it the 20 miles without a tag and I'd be ok.Wasn't going to try that! Luckily I had a dealer plate with me. I should have walked from the deal, but their pricing was just too good even with the hassles. They called it "miss-communication", but to start they tried to raise my payment $30 a month from what was agreed; then they tried to rush my purchase by telling me that the rebate was ending. I finally bit the bullet and did it; Even with all the run-around, the deal for the 2013 Starcraft AR-One 21FB was just to good to pass up.I'll have one of the checklists during the walkthrough and tutorial, but is there anything else that I should check that some might not think is important? Have a new twist to the ongoing saga. The owner of the dealer where I had issues about the Starcraft personally called me and discussed the situation and appologized for the miss- communication. He then proceeds to offer me a little bit more off. My dilemma is this; Do I take the deal which nobody else has come close to matching even though I still don't totally trust the dealership? Or do I stick to my principals and continue working with another dealer that has been straight and honest with me to this point? Their trailer is smaller,more money, and has fewer upgrades. In the old days I would have just went with the best deal, but it's not just about the money. I could use some guidance!274Views0likes0Comments
