Not so much the living area, but the bath room was too small to complete the paperwork (if you know what I mean) The wet bath was a pain because it was too tight to stand in front of the toilet to shower. It was also VERY easy to overload that little trailer. I really liked the concept of no wood and the industrial look, but it was just too small. lindaRe: Philadelphia anyone? Stefonius wrote: As a native, I can tell you that a lot of the folks panning Philadelphia are dead wrong. It's quite safe at night in the areas you would be interested in seeing from a tourist perspective. The locals are very open and friendly. Any reputation Philly gets for being "rude" comes from the fact that we speak our minds without filter or reservation. We are not shy about giving you our honest opinion on any subject. The Art Museum, Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell are all great spots to check out. I would also recommend the Franklin Institute Science Museum and the Reading Terminal Market. For getting around the city, get a daily TransPass from SEPTA. That will let you hop onto any train, subway or bus without worrying about cost. Public transit in the city is quite good. If you want a cheesesteak, stay away from Pat's and Geno's. Try Jim's at 4th and South Streets. Tony Luke's has an excellent Roast Pork, and there's some great food at the Reading Terminal Market. Cheez Whiz is for tourists. Get Provolone. There are good tours in Old City and Center City, led by actors who portray historical figures. Agree with all above. Also, the Constitution Center is great, and there are many smaller specialty museums, too. Take one of the regional Rail trains into the city and use the Phlash to get around. I've never felt unsafe in the tourist area. The unsafe areas are only of interest if you are looking to buy drugs or other trouble, and they are not near where you want to goRe: OK, Gotta AskIt's winter. my rig is winterized. Only pink stuff coming out of the shower head. I'm not de-winterizing and re-winterizing for 2 showers.Re: We have some good news, sort of. UPDATEAsk to speak to the oncology social worker. Penn has a hotel affiliated with the hospital, as well as other options. there are no RV hookups at the hospital, and no truly close parks. When i was commuting there for work, I found my best option was the Super 8 motel in Mt. Laurel NJ. They gave me a discount for a long stay, rooms were nice, and secure. Philly is not a great place for a novice RVer to deal with norhteast wintersDIY dashmatI have just begun to carpet my dash in my 2014 Itasca Sunstar. I am interested in how any other DIYers have dealt with rounded part of the dash over the intruments. It looks like commercial covers are ither steam blocked (which I don't know how to do) or seamed by an industrial sewing machine (which i don't have). Any ideas, and in particular, pictures, would be helpfulRe: Excellent Christmas GiftDoes the Tom-Tom have an RV mode?Re: Pennsylvania Speed Limit Increase to 70 MPHPA 476 north of Plymouth Meeting is perhaps the most wretched piece of pavement I have ever driven. There has never been a time I have driven it (from age 16 to 55) that there was not significant construction or re-construction underway. Love the special 'no shoulder' areas for miles and miles.Re: Winnibago Vista 27N?????We just picked up our Itasca Sunstar 30T, a close relative to the 27N. We really liked the 27N, but the table and chairs, and double livingroom slide sold us on the 30T. One good piece of advice is after you have picked out the coach you think you like, look at the next model larger and see if there is anything you will really miss! LindaRe: Adults only RV ParkFour Paws Kingdom, near Asheville, NC unabashedly promotes itself as a campground for adults and their dogs. Significant restrictions regarding children. Nice campground, friendly owners and staff. Lots of dog, but all with well behaved owners who paid attention to them. We would go their again, with or without dogsRe: Looking for furniture covers for Winnebago Sightseer 35GWe use these on the couch. sure fit pet covers http://www.surefit.net/category/?c=PH&p=1&rank=-units_sold&sale=0
