I use the second side of the wye to rinse off my dusty and maybe sweaty mountain bike helmet, gloves and knee pads when I get back from a ride. I like the regulator downstream of the filter, as I feel that I get better flow through the filter when it is on the high pressure side. I also carry a long hose, but have only needed it once in the last eight years...Re: Advice on RV "carport"The one thing I love about my pole shed I park my travel trailer in is to have enough room under the cover to fully unroll the awning for a few days and let it dry out after use. I think that takes about 20’ of width, which you might not have. If there isn’t enough width for the awning I think 12’ would be a nice width...Re: What do you guys use for a BBQ?We actually just switched to a blackstone griddle. Looked for a few years for a new grill that fit in the hatch we had and nothing did. Then discovered the blackstone and it fit! Definatly a different cooking style then a grill, but it has lots of heat output. Steaks on the blackstone are amazing, sure gives a great sear!Re: Learning curve going from 5th wheel to TTThere are other more moderately priced WD hitches that also do a great job. I have the Reese SC and love it. Basically anything with built in sway control is night and day better then an old school chain WD hitch that you start adding sway bars to.Re: Converting a enclosed trailer to a RV TTDon’t let the naysayers discourage you if this is something you want to do and it makes sense for you. Yeah, it might not be cost effective, but very little about rving is. There are so many cool ideas for cargo trailer camper conversions on Pinterest. The onesie I like have a bank of kitchen cabinets across the nose of the trailer and fold down beds on the sides. Once the beds are folded up you get use of most of the cargo space to haul quads bikes toys etc, or maybe even to use it during the week for work and camp in on the weekend. Make sure you show us lots of pictures of the build!Re: Front mounted GeneratorI like it!Re: Tailgate Bike Pad - any experience?I have never personally owned one, but transported my bike ,any times on friends vehicles with them. I can’t say much about long term tailgate damage, but the pad is between the tires/fork and the tailgate. I think the biggest risk of scratching would be installing it on a dirty tailgate. Some of the better ones have a hole for the tailgate handle and backup camera. Depending on clearance on your particular rig you can probably use this option with a bumper pull travel trailer with no issues. Some advantages: Fast loading and offloading of the bikes at the trailhead Minimal timing required. On most the included Velcro loop and maybe an additional bungee is enough Don’t have to remove front tire, no risk of accidentally squeezing hydraulic brakes with the rotor out Saves some truck box room. Bikes are getting longer and slacker. I have to put mine diagonally in the 5.5’ bed F150’sRe: Pet Peeves long road trip Sjm9911 wrote: Kevinwa wrote: Lots in This thread have stated that the vehicle on the main highway has the right of way. So the right of way are the people allready on the highway. Nothing shared here, and no moving over required. You are right, I just looked up the driver manual for your state. I learn something every day!Re: Pet Peeves long road tripLots in This thread have stated that the vehicle on the main highway has the right of way. We are heading out tomorrow for 4 days to give it a good shake down. yeah, there are only two things we dislike about our minilite. The small small windows and the small small windows. I would gladly sacrifice the cupboard space above the dinette window if I could double or even triple the wndow size. Even the ones by the Murphy bed. Only about one foot square and a big open wall. Why not make them 18 inch square so they are see out able
