I know on the class A units they use the Azdel board and believe they us it on the class C units also.Re: Jumped shipWhen you get a chance go over to Forest Rivers Owners forums and sign up there. I used to go to Wendy's to get my burger, and then go to McDonalds and get their fries. Mike I agree! When I at worked at both of them there was a huge difference in the both the quality of the fries themselves and the oil too. McD's changed the fryer oil every night but Wendy's only changed it once a week. By the time it was changed it looked like something that was drained out of a Detroit diesels crankcase. Did not have to worry about changing a Detroit Diesel's oil it was always leaking out. Just add more.Re: 2015 Ford F53 chassis brake control harnesson ours there was a short harness there to be spliced onto the unit we purchased.Re: 2017 F-150 3.5 EcoboostTest drove the F150 with the 2.7 engine and it took a few stops to get use to the start-stop feature. On that year you could just hit the tow haul switch and it was disabled and ran normally. Now that we have the hybrid car to tow behind the motorhome the start stop feature is not that weird feeling. The Ford system is fast and smooth operating. Have driven a proto type from a different builder and it had a thump type of feeling to it. Both had the new 10 speed auto in them. Both driven at a closed test site. Wish I could have hooked up a trailer and tried them out.Re: Tire pressure confusionOn our unit we have the tires set at 80 psi front and rear. This was based on having the unit weighted front and rear at a rally. We have a front axle rated at 7000 lbs and rear axle rated at 12000 lbs. Gross 18,000 lbs. Ford recommends 82 lbs front and rear. Goodyear based on weights was 78-80 lbs the higher the pressure the harder the ride. Per the tire pressure system the tire pressure seems to gain between 8-15 lbs depending on outside temperature. I set the tire pressure when the outside temperature were in the 70-75 range. When it is cold out they read slightly lower but within 10 miles they are right on the money. This also allows for the hot tire pressures to be within Goodyear's recommended max pressure.Re: jack pads new idealWe have had them on our motorhome for a year now. No more marks on the drive way and trying to position boards under the feet.Re: Have any of you guys tinted your cab side windows? Our company is located in NJ and every year when we take the company vehicles in they make us remove any added on window tint. This is for the front side windows. Back windows seem to be OK. Might want to check with the NJ DMV before you spend the money having them done.Re: Ecoboost vs HemiHaving towed our company's 7000 lb rated utility trailer close to fully loaded with the following vehicles, 2011 Ford F150 3.5 Eco Boost, 2012 Dodge 1500 with V-8 Hemi and now a 2012 Ford F150 with 5.0 V-8. The Eco Boost towed the best when in the hills due to the turbo, then the Dodge with the Hemi then the Ford with the 5.0. All three had gears that were very close. Both Fords with 3:55 and I can not remember what the Dodge had but it was very close. The Eco Boost and Hemi both had around 65-70K on them the 5.0 currently has 68K on it. Never had any turbo problems with it and it currently has around 156K on it. The Hemi has around 165K on it and is now used for close by stuff no long trips or towing. On every long trip or attempt to tow it throws check engine codes, and results in a trip to Dodge for more wasted dollars. It also had the softest rear springs out of the three. Good luck on what you pick or do.Re: Dialysis on the roadGo over to Forest River Forums (different group and web site) and search for Herk7769 and private message him.
