The Tellico River is located in eastern Tennessee near the town of Tellico Plains. I spent 2 days exploring the headwaters and taking in the beautiful scenery. This part of the river is in the Cherokee National Forest which is operated by the US Forest Service. I think that would be fine. If you are a bit adventurous and want to get to the bottom of the Little River falls go to the overlook and follow the unofficial trail downstream a short ways. It follows the edge of the canyon wall. You will see where folks have climbed down a rock face to get to the river. There are good hand holds and I was able to do it and I had about 30 lbs of camera gear. Project to test new gear that I shot at Little River Canyon which is located in northeast Alabama just east of Fort Payne. This river is one of the nation's longest rivers that flows across a mountain top. It changes elevation from 1900 feet above sea level to 650, creating a spectacular gorge system.
