The tag axle units and larger bus units might have problems in rural areas we would want to seek out. I travelled with a pickup camper south to north and back in June of 66 and had a ball but things have changed but there are still places to go and see. What about a 45 footer diesel pusher with tag axle are they go to go on a limited off road situation? comments please. regards Paul If you want to take your half million dollar house down a wash board road, knowing full well that these things shake loose before they fail completely, have fun. There are no motorhomes that are suitable for dry/boondocking a long way off the pavement in my opinion and there probably aren't many newer TTs or fivers that won't suffer consequences from the hard knocks. The minute the pavement ends you probably need to rethink camping in a modern rv with sophisticated electrical, hydraulic, or water systems.Re: Anyone make a mistake buying first MH ?What a great question! Heck yes--I made so many mistakes in my enthusiasm to buy my unit at what I thought was a great price, I overlooked several serious flaws in the coach. Those flaws have come back to haunt me in the two years I have owned the unit. Best advice, shop more and shop, as much as you can, for a well maintained and "healthy" RV. Overlooking obvious flaws is not worth the few thousand dollars you might save.Re: Anyone Bring The Bean Bag Toss Game (Corn Hole) To Camp? beemerphile1 wrote: To the OP, yes, I made my own and carry it with us. I designed my own version using 2X2's instead of the typical 2X4's and offset the frame so they virtually pack inside each other. The total thickness of both boards with the bags in between is only 2 1/2". To the others, aw come on! Grow up! :B Ok, I will concede that one may skin the cat or entertain one's self with any terminology one wishes. I might even enjoy the game! I might even enjoy the game with neighbors! It might be the most fun game since Monopoly, Cut Throat Hearts, or Golf! I still don't think I'll be willing to announce to my friends here in cold country, when asked what I did all winter in Arizona, "Why, I Cornholed every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday afternoons with my new Canadian friends in Casa Grande!" We Idahoans haven't progressed quite that far, Senior Senator or no Senior Senator!Re: Anyone Bring The Bean Bag Toss Game (Corn Hole) To Camp? almo5 wrote: Yep! We take ours on every trip. We've even had our camping neighbors join us in the fun. Am I to assume everyone had a gay time or have I somehow become so old fashioned that the terminology I used in my youth is now passe'?
