I've never covered any of mp PUs or TTs in the last 20+ years and not had any issues. Mike, Im just south east of you and never covered my trailers in the winter. They do take a little fade from the sun, but no problems with cracking on the roofs or anything..Tires are filled to 65 pounds, covered and sitting on blocks. The scissor jacks are also sitting on blocks and brought down to the block, then a half a turn. Thanks I will do the same with tires and jacks next winter. Just put on new tires.Re: Outside MaintenanceRunning a dealership costs money. If you can do it right do it your self. But remember your investment a 1000 dollars is worth keeping in top shape. I run a boat dealership on the service side and get so upset about people thinking that we can stay in business not charging for what they don't want to do them selves. You run a dealership and see what you have to charge. But if you can take care of the concern do it.Shadow Cruiser TiresJust thought I should say that Shadow cruiser payed 250 towards new tires because they put Bias tires on and did not wear well the first year. Happy they helped out. And took care of a brocken bunk bed main support.Re: Help requested for first time rv trailer buyer Montana Mike wrote: Ok nobody else is brave enough. Nothing you listed sounds safe. Sorry. Bumper hitch is not even good enough to get you unstuck! And if your on the same road as my kids are driving I would not be happy. Use the right hitch and TV please. And get a brake controller please. Ok I apologize I spoke to soon. I still don't like bumper hitches guess I through my personal opinion in there. And I definitely feel safer driving with trailer brakes working for quick stops when somone does somthing stupid in front of you like my kids.Re: Help requested for first time rv trailer buyerOk nobody else is brave enough. Make sure to use it on the awning too. I buy in the gallons. Wash with mild soap and water first.Re: axle, hub, bearing questionIf you feel better filling the whole hub its not going to hurt a thing. I just don't like cleaning out all that old grease and it seams clean.Re: axle, hub, bearing questionIt does not take much grease in the bearing to do the job if the bearing is packed properly. It's the bearing that needs the grease not the whole inside of the hub. Boat trailers use bearing buddy's to keep pressure in the hub so as you back your boat trailer in and the hub cools quickly it creates a vacuum and can suck water in. I have packed wheel bearings for many years on cars and trailers and only a minimal amount of good quality of grease is needed. If you get the hub hot enough to get extra grease to flow into your bearing you have other problems. Just pack the bearing not the hub and service at recommended intervals.Re: Air ShocksThanks for all the help. As soon as the snow goes away I will adjust my hitch and then go from there. I really enjoy reading all the info and learning from ones with many years.Re: Air ShocksI should probably readjust my hitch again. I have added gear and one more battery up front.
