Just push some pink stuff through them to remove the water that might still be there. Don't for get the out side shower!!!!Re: Fire came out of my water faucet in my camp trailer Lynnmor wrote: GaryWT wrote: As someone stated, lighting this unknown vapor inside your trailer is not a good thing. I always pull the pressure relief valve on the tank to fill it and then I know for sure it is full before turning it on. Never heard of this before but sure is interesting. This is incorrect, never open the T&P valve to fill, doing so will eliminate the air pocket that you want. The water pump will short cycle if there is no air and the valve may drip as there is no room for expansion. I have always opened my pressure valve to expedite the fill of the water heater. If I don't it will spit until all the air is eliminated in the hot water tank. My cold water enters at the bottom, and the hot water exits at the top. So there is no chance for an air pocket anyway you look at it. It eliminates it by its self, if I don't help it out. You can do it your way, this is my way.Re: The Rv 10 Commandments theoldwizard1 wrote: How many folks actually shut off the water and disconnect the electric if you are leaving you TT for a day or even overnight side trip ? I turn off my water when I leave for a couple hours. I have witness to many floods when rigs have been hooked up and the owners leave to go to dinner or etc. lines burst inside, so we just turn there water off to save some grief.Re: 6.7 cummins oil/fuel filter where to buy Cummins12V98 wrote: Use ONLY FleetGuard, MOPAR and Raycor filters. Don't risk your warranty. As stated, use what is recommended, and you'll be fine. Don't risk it. Noticed that there was not a reply that said that they were using FRAM. Stay away from FRAM at all costs. The construction on there products don't compare, and, do fall apart and can and will put you engine in the scrap heap.Re: Harbor Freight gets million dollar fineThere must have been a lot of complaints to the NHTSA about this light controversy, cause they don't jump at one complaint and investigate it. Look at all the vehicle problems on the road to day and how many death that are caused by a faulty component in many cars (chevy or other vehicles), with no action being taken to correct said problem. This is nit picking to the extreme by the government.Re: Some of the oddest TV and 5ver combinations colliehauler wrote: laknox wrote: d-mac1 wrote: Here is a fancy rig! That is one bitchin' camper, for sure! I'd love to know the back-story on it. Lyle I think that is a cool rig as well. I think it would be cool to modernize and restore it. It would be neat to drop in a Duramax/Allison and add A/C. Anyone know what it is? Old GMC/two ton maybe, 50's something. Looks to be home made. But check out the Iron that's sitting next to it, those bikes are old also, he is at a swap meet.Re: Backing up your rig. Dirtclods wrote: So I'd stay within two to four feet close to the side you going to back into. There's a lot of times your going have one small lane and campers on either side so the closer the better. So far you have a lot of instructional help here. Here's the way I do it. I approach the spot I'm going to back into, overshoot it a few feet, make a quick turn to the right, to other side of the road, and then a hard left, putting the rear of the trailer close to heading into the parking spot. You should be in a part-jackknife position at this point. This way you are already half way towards the opening that you want to back into. This is all with the idea that your spot is on the driver side of the road. This way you can visually see where you are going. But it takes a bit of practice and you need to find the way its easiest for you to make your maneuver. I always take a few extra feet to execute any maneuver, alot of drivers don't take any extra space, maybe thy are afraid to.Re: Backing up your rig.Having been a truck driver for years, I depend on my mirrors, and getting out once in a while when I need to visually see whats going on, and what I need to do to avoid making contact with any thing in the site I am backing in to. I also use my wife when there is tight maneuvering and locating the slides around the pedestals.
