When you are creating a route, using waypoints, are you creating the route on the RV 890 or on Basecamp? I have very serious vision issue. I can not help in navigation when on the road. I can set up a route on the laptop and export it to the gps, because I use a reading aide device . I have looked at RV Trip Wizard, but have not really explored it. I really want to be able to export the created route to the gps. I will have to explore RV Trip Wizard more to see if a created route can be exported to the gps. I will download waypoints, that I have created in Basecamp, to the RV890. Then I let the RV890 create the route. DavidRe: Garmin Basecamp ProblemsI don't know if you are using the Trip Planner or not, since I don't. But, I select waypoint and add them to a trip that I have created. These are on the left side on the screen. When you select them to create a trip, you have to select them in the order that you want for the trip. I also have the RV890 and like it, so I wouldn't change it. Lately, I have been using RV Trip Wizard for planning trips, since I had always used RV Park Reviews to find RV parks. I have not tried uploading or saving the file for the GPS. DavidRe: Mopar wiring harness on 2020 WranglerThe Mopar wiring harness is 82215382AB. It is a lot of work to install and you have to be careful with the electrical plugs since the directions are not very clear, but it works well. I used the Cooltech harness on our 2012 Wrangler, but the current harness requires you to remember to flip a switch.Re: Towing 2021 Wrangler - Wiring HarnessI have also installed the Mopar wiring harness. It is complicated mostly because of running the cable from the front to the back through the interior. And you have to get a plastic rivet gun to reinstall the fender liner. Also, the diagrams do not show which end of the electrical connectors you are looking at. I got it wrong. And I rewired the front to use the standard 6 wire trailer connector. The harness uses relays for the lights with power coming from the motorhome. I used the Cooltech hardness on my 2012 JK, but I didn't want to have to remember to use a switch on my 2019 JL.Re: CO: Leadville to I70 via Hiighway 24I have found US24 between Leadville and I70, while a very nice drive, to be slow going in the motorhome. There isn't many (or any?) passing lanes and we did pull over a few times to let cars and motorcycles pass. CO91 to I70 is much easier and probably faster. We have stayed at the Glenwood Canyon Resort. It was fine, but it was a while ago and I don't remember much specifics. DavidRe: RV park or campground near Los Alamos, NMThe White Rock Visitors Center has electric hookups and dump station. And when Bandelier National Monument is open, there is a shuttle to take you there. There is RV parking at the Los Alamos Entrance Park. The closest full hookups is Roadrunner RV Park in Pojoaque. The casinos are still closed for now, but I don't think any of the ones between Santa Fe and Pojoaque have hookups. DavidRe: Settting up 2020 Wrangler for flat towI have a 2019 JLU Sahara. I installed the Mopar wiring harness and Roadmaster baseplate. I would have used the Cool Tech wiring harness, but I didn't want to use a switch. I have not road tested the setup yet. We also have a 2012 JK setup for towing The JL's do not need additional wiring for the electric steering since it is actually hydraulic steering but uses an electric pump instead of a belt driven pump. Some Jeeps like the Cherokee are fully electric and they have the problem. DavidRe: JL Wrangler brakeaway cableI haven't done this yet since it is too cold still. The most common way that I have read is to use the plastic plug that for the clutch on manual transmission JL's. I have not been successful figuring this out yet. My second though was to remove the small panel in the bottom driver side corner of the windshield and see if there is easier access there. I have not looked yet. I have already installed the Mopar wiring harness. DavidRe: Absolute positively the worst road everWe have driven that road in our previous motorhome about 8 years ago since we were driving back from Lake Conchas. Just seemed like a normal New Mexico state road. There are many worse. Some are dirt roads. In general, I don't take the state routes in New Mexico in the motorhome unless I know they are OK. Like 26 between Deming and Hatch. Or 522 north of Taos. DavidRe: Jeep Wrangler JLNo, it is not powered all the time. You can get this Cooltech powerport kit. to keep the power on all the time. It is simple to install. I still have to finish running the brake-away line to the interior. Then I can start towing the JL. David
