I always email security for the casino property I will park overnight in. The answer will change from time to time. The city of Reno has an ordinance for overnight parking/sleeping in your RV. Yes you must pay the Yosemite fee to drive thru the park on 120. The pass will be closed soon until late spring. It is not plowed in the winter. 88 is the most southern pass open in the winter. Mine stopped working completely a few years back (it got wet!) I just got a new one and everything worked fine again. I have had a Verizon jet pack for over two years now after I cut the cable with AT&T. The cost was about the same (AT&T kept raising the price!) We use the jet pack at home and on the road. We don't have smart phones so this is the only way for us to get on the internet. I have had a 4G signal most places we have been, if not we had a 3G. A few time we have had no cell signal (phone or jet pack). We have camped there with our truck camper with no problems. The road in is one lane, not for longer rigs! Lots of poison oak, Fills up on the weekends, I would make a reservation if you want one of the longer sites. It has been very quiet at night for us.
