When I installed them I made sure I tighten them real nice and tight but now I think that is what the problem is, over tightening them. After work today I'm going to loosen them up just a tad and see if it makes a difference. If not then I'll just save up some $ for some Alcoa's :)Re: Ugh- found some water in the overhead bunk- what to do.Any updates or is it still too soon?Re: Need Advice on E450 Engine Mod jgorm1 wrote: If I had a v10, I'd keep it stock and I can even tune it for free. I've tuned 100s of fords and I still tell customers that it's probably not worth tuning on a mostly stock vehicle. I would also not want a tune with more timing than stock when pulling heavy weight at WOT for minutes on end. Cars can get away with a bit more advance because they never at wot for minutes on end. I have been doing some reading online (mostly sport truck sites) and noticed "tune" being mentioned quite a bit and read how the "tune" has increased HP and MPG but mostly HP. I have a 2004 E-450 V10 and have this itch on getting the V10 "tuned". What all is involved with a "tune" and how would it benefit my E-450? Along with a "tune", what else would improve or compliment a "tune"? Or should I just forget about scratching that "itch"?Re: What did you do to your Class C MH today???Installed rain gutter spouts on all four corners of our rig. I had to buy them directly from Fleetwood as CW or Wally world didn't carry ones that would work. Also replaced the (outside) plastic shower hose with a new stainless steel snake like hose. Nice and flexible.Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there? jgorm1 wrote: I don't own a rental, but I've been in a few of them for trips. Both of them were beat down pretty hard (RV america). They rattled like crazy, like an old city bus where you are worried about the windows falling out. I think rv america had the vendor make them extra cheap for them. It looks like some of you scored, but the rentals down here in san diego are beat pretty hard. We briefly considered them due to the much lower price, but passed on them in the end. Same here, we considered one for the offered price but during the test drive, I seriously thought the windows were going to rattle right off the rig. We literally could not hold a conversation while driving it was that loud. For those of you that did find a good one, congratulations and I hope you have many happy miles ahead of you!Re: What did you do to your Class C MH today???We took it out for a Sunday drive.Re: Leveling rockhillmanor wrote: derh2o wrote: We just replaced our 5th wheel with a 29' B+. Most of the time we camp at State, County of National Parks which are often not level. My recent experience involved needing to raise the front and one side of the MH. The front needed about 5" and the one side about 3" and we were still not completely level. This proved very difficult and I would like to hear from others how you handle this problem. When we had the trailer, it was relatively easy. Any comments would be helpful. Do you have leveling blocks? It is relatively easy to use the leveling blocks for a Class C to get it level. **albeit these are the ones that break apart easily I would only suggest that you don't buy the open waffle type buy the solid yellow ones. I have gone thru 4 sets of the Lynx Levelers. They break up especially if using them on soft ground like the sand in Florida. I have since then invested in Ramps and they seem to be a bit easier and working well in the sand. X2 The waffle type I bought a while ago are all distorted and bent out of shape. They still work in a pinch but I don't recommend you buying them.Re: What did you do to your Class C MH today??? woodworker414 wrote: Hey 62Doka, its never over. Always something to do. Bill Im starting to see a trend here. It's like tinkering with our 58 vw bus, always adding, changing and fixing stuff .......but I love it!Re: What did you do to your Class C MH today???On our Tioga 26Q, resealed the roof. Added a new Cyclone vent to help vent the blk tank. Added two new rain blocking vent covers over our existing covers. replaced the broken rain gutter spouts on all four corners and finally replaced the sun damaged fridge vent cover. That's it for now at least I hope so.Re: roofI'll take some pictures of the work being done. I'll do the before, during and after. I just need to figure out how to post picture. Nevermind, figured out how to post pics.
