Check where the wires coming off the battery goRe: Setting up a weight distributing hitch - videoWhere are the weight police on this one? Looks like a lot of trailer for a car to meRe: General Question on SizeThere is a big difference between pulling and hauling a load. Just look at a strongman competition those guys can pull and 747 but don't mean that they could stop it rolling down a hill or control it.Re: Removing pine pitchGel hand sanitizer on a cotton ball. squirt it on the cotton ball and then let it sit on the sap spot for a few mins and it will wipe right off.lippert hydraulic slide out issuesMy brother has a keystone travel trailer with 2 slide outs on the rear (one on each side). The slide out system is a Lippert hydraulic system. A few weeks ago while on a trip he thought the battery was going bad and the slide out wouldn't go in. So we plugged in the 7-way to his truck and it seemed to work fine. He has since bought a new battery and was at home getting ready for a trip and had issues again with the slide not wanting to engage. He cleaned up the ground going from the battery to the trailer frame and then the slide out seemed to work fine once again. Upon arrival to the campground the slide out motor once again doesn't seem to be engaging properly. After crawling around on the ground and messing with the solenoid it engaged and opened the slides. When packing up to leave when the slide out engaged it seemed to be drawing too much power from the battery, he had a led light on and it all but went out from the power drain. He has since purchased a new solenoid from the slide motor but still seems to be having issues. anyone have any thoughts and/or suggestions?Re: Covers. Who uses them? Who doesn't?Never covered the 2 travel trailers I have owned, both were stored outdoors year round. My brother has a cover for his which I believe is a real pita as I have heard. The covers from what I have seen and heard are very lightweight and can't really imagine it doing that much good imhoRe: Tap into my 30 amp Dryer outlet for an RV outlet???Turn the breaker off and see if the washer and/or dryer are still getting power.Re: I'm just gonna leave this here.Truck probably broke down and they went to Uhaul to get a tow dolly to haul the truck. but Uhaul actually checks your tow vehicle out to see if it can pull a car dolly before they rent it to you, unlike camper sales people who would sell anything to anyone with money. So then they had to rent a truck capable of pulling the dolly and then they said "it aint ours so it if breaks it breaks" load'em up, haul'em out.Re: New mouse prevention updateget a couple good barn cats they should keep the mice away. That's the only good thing I can say about the cats we have is that I haven't seen a mouse in TT or house everRe: CAT scale accuracyI know that their slogan is "weigh what we say or we pay" I do believe that they are really accurate because commercial truck drivers rely on them being that way so they don't get fined for being overweight on the roads. That being said I also know that their weights are rounded to 20 lbs that's as accurate as they can be.
