The receiver hitch on the arctic fox is factory installed, made of massive I-beam steel, and rated for much more weight than I'm carrying.Re: Motorcycle on the back of the 5er.See pics of my fifth further down the page: https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/28437838/print/true.cfmRe: EGT Gauge - Necessary???If you understand the relationship between boost and EGT a set of gauges can be a helpful diagnostic tool. My truck had a cracked intercooler boot and I would not have known it without gauges. The EGT was higher, above what Cummins recommends, and the boost was lower than normal, but it still pulled well. Without gauges I would have operated the truck under those conditions for who-knows-how-long. The engine probably would have been fine, but 1400 degrees EGT is too high for long-term reliability. Knowing critical parameters measured against their limits is always beneficial.Re: Is it safe to use WD hitch when raining? As pointed out already, the WD hitch enhances stability in any road condition. Two points to ponder: don't use the cruise control or your exhaust brake on any road that isn't clean or dry. RandyRe: Equal-i-zer hitch metal chipping/breaking off and denting.Sifter, Having owned the 14,000 pound model of that hitch for ten years, my opinion is your pictures show normal wear. My Equal-i-zer showed similar wear but it wasn't problematic. The flaking you see is superficial, keep an eye on it and ask for a replacement if it cracks. Being the weight bar sockets, a crack won't be catastrophic. Lastly, I don't believe this component of the hitch is cast. I believe the only cast component is the main head. Travel was enjoyable, my truck pulled it well, and we got a hair over 12 mpg rolling 70 mph. We had one issue with the coach; the onboard generator stopped supplying power to the coach. Justin, at Northwood, helped me diagnose a failed transfer switch. Sure enough, the printed circuit board that controls the relays had a blown diode with visible heat damage to the plastic housing. Justin shipped a new transfer switch to my campground at Glacier, it took me about 45 minutes to install, no more problems! The 32-5M has a great floorplan and we enjoyed it a great deal. My family of 3 was careful with water consumption but didn't avoid necessary use. We went ten days without needing to dump the gray or black. Here are some pics of my rig and the aft platform I built. The Yamaha 125 is really cool for use in camp and around town. Although not legally required, I installed auxiliary tail lights for safety reasons. The license plate should be re-mounted to a more visible location but there is zero chance I'm going to do that. Happy camping. Randy
