Sold it about 6 years ago. Thought of getting another but also worry this may happen again.Re: Difference between the ProPride 3P & Hensley Arrow?Propride is a much better design of the same concept. It has a yoke instead of the struts, it’s been beefed up where needed, and adjustable hitch bar. Used buy Hensley, New buy Propride. That’s what I would do.Re: What is the best weight distribution hitch? Here is my take.. I have towed years with both the dual cam then upgraded to a Hensley. I actually went through 2 Hensleys due to selling them between selling trailers. Hensley has a few flaws. The receiving mouth is weak and both of mine were elongated. You also cant pitch the hitch to get full advantage of the weight distribution. Having a non adjustable hitch bar is horrible. Propride solved for all of these and I may buy one for my next trailer. Both of these can be hard to hook / unhook but you get better with practice. I did get into a couple of binds due to uneven spots at some state campgrounds. This is where these hitches suck. Odd hooking angles and steep pitches. One time I almost had to take off my hitch to get it out. They do tow great. I may try the equalizer the next time around for these reasons alone. Simple and people swear by them.Re: 5 star tuneI had the opposite experience. I had one in my v10 van and got spark knock. Ended up going back to stock. No such thing as free hp. If you need more power, change your gear or get a new truck. Will never waste my money on another tuner. The shift points are changed so it feels faster. Did nothing for teal life pulling power on the highway.Re: 1500 and hitch or holdout for 2500Depends what year of truck and what you want to tow. My 2014 1500 ram v8 tows a lot better than my 2006 e350 v10 did. More power, more stabile, better ride, and better mpg.Re: How old is your fifth-wheel?Was thinking about getting a new 5er next year when I turn my truck in. We have a 2006 that I paid cash for about 4 years ago. Looked at new 5ers and what I want will cost me close to 40K out the door. My 2006 TT has never looked so good through my eyes. Now I plan on keeping the current one at least until my son gets out of school where the wife and I would have an extended camping season.Re: 2WD vs 4WD tow vehicleI got stuck pulling out of our campsite with a 2wd after a rain (wet grass). Had to ask someone for help to get pulled out. Almost got stuck a couple other times. 4x4 for me since.Re: Boom goes my fresh water tank....My tank was sagging very bad on my Jayco. I worried the same thing was going to happen so a few years back I added some reinforcement to the brackets. This is the reason I had enclosed underbellies. We don't camp in the winter so I could care less about keeping the tanks warm. I would rather see what is going on down there.Re: Trying to find a used TT - a rant!I bought used and don't think I would go through that process again. Wasted so much time looking at overpriced garbage. Nice well kept rvs that are reasonable are few and far between. I did find exactly what I was looking for but it took me almost a year.
