All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Dometic dmc4101 12vdc fridge not cooling and light blinkingI'm just spit-balling, but I'd start with finding out why the fan in the freezer is not working. If its getting power, but not working; I'd suspect its not working could screw up the refrigeration system. If its not getting power, then it sounds like a control board problem. I have absolutely no knowledge about this particular unit, this is just a thought on where to start looking ! DougReplace Girard tankless how water heaterI just bought a Cougar 5th wheel with a Girard tankless how water heater. What a joke! Unit will supply hot water heater endlessly, but not intermittently. This means any time you want hot water, you waste about a quart until you get hot water. Showering can not be a sub-shower, as you will be hit with a shot of cold water each time you turn the shower back on. There appears to be enough room to put a conventional RV how water heater where this piece of c$&% is. Has anyone tried (hopefully succeeded) to do this, how bad was it. Thanks, DougFurrion backup camera connectorI just got a keystone Cougar 2100rk. I went to attach the furrion backup camera that I had in my old unit, but the prewire did not install the female connector in the housing. Does anybody know a source for the female connector. It seems to be similar to a stereo jack of some sort. Thanks, Doug50 amp to 30 amp dogboneJust purchased a small 5th wheel with a 50 amp service. I have no need for the 50 power, and would like to just connect to a 30 amp cable. Does anyone make a 50 amp female connector to the trailer with 30 amp male end.Re: Install 300 AH LipoShould have been more specific; battery is LiPo4 with self heating. I was not worried about fire under bed (or anywhere else). Front frame would be easy (present batteries are there, wire is there), may try again to find suitable box. Front pass through would be good as inverter & solar controller is there, under bed good as it is in compartment next to inverter & solar controllerInstall 300 AH LipoI have a 300 Lipo I'm installing on my TT. Choices of place are front frame (most usual place), In front pass through compartment, or under bed. Front frame is a problem, as I can't find box to fit. Front compartment, who wants to loose that space? Under bed, would need to build box (plywood) and it would be pretty inaccessible; but my preferred location. Question is, how much accessibility is really needed? Thanks, DougRe: 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter recommendation neededI have an AIMS 2000 watt inverter with remote. Have had it about 2 years, am very satisfied with it's performnce. Price was resonable. https://smile.amazon.com/PWRI200012120S-Inverter-Continuous-Connect-Terminal/dp/B01E3V66QS/ref=sr_1_12?crid=251DQJBHVGFZD&keywords=2000+watt+pure+sine+inverter&qid=1642893536&sprefix=2000+watt+pure+sine+inverter%2Caps%2C72&sr=8-12 If you want to run a microwave, remember a 1500 watt microwave(input probably is about 2300-2400 watt) may/probably will overload your 2K inverter. I had to change out mine to a 900 watt microwave. I love having it, but coffee makers and microwaves suck up the amps !! I'm not even sure they're selling those any more. There is a website, but it doesn't have any info on where to actually buy one. ETA: Apparently, someone is still selling them on a built-to-order basis. Camco and Mr. Heater make unvented catalytic heaters that are readily available - and they are even more efficient than their vented counterparts. They don't require any electricity, so there is no drain on your house batteries while dry-camped. I use the Camco 3000 BTU model in my little 17-footer, and like it immensely. I will not use an unvented combustion heater. My daughter is a CO survivor.
