All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Our View at Anchor DownYes, Anchor Down is in Dandridge, TN. It's an easy drive to the Smoky Mountains and all the things to see there. For any sports fans we ended up attending a Tennessee Smoky's baseball game (AA Affiliate Cubs) and it was great. The ballpark is really nice, inexpensive and 10 minutes from the campground. The site we were on is 29. It's elevated and has a great view which is partially shown with the picture. We've camped at every kind of campground know to man from the Ocala National Forest to Ft. Wilderness in Orlando. They each have their good points and some not so much. We enjoy another "parking lot"in South Carolina at Ocean Lakes. We've enjoyed many wooded sites in North Georgia, Bryson City, NC and all Florida State Parks. Book early as the summer gets full quick,Our View at Anchor DownView from our site. One of the best we've ever had. Re: Campgrounds on tubing river tn,ky, al, ga.Deep Creek Tube Center & Campground, Bryson City, NC. Been there 2x. Great! whoops....wrong state ...my bad:oRe: Great campgroundJust completed 7 day stay on upper site. It’s one of the best views we’ve ever had. I would not pick a site in the middle lower section due to space and lack of view. The perimeter sites have good views of lake and smokies. Sevierville is a 10 minute drive. Staff is really efficient and friendly. Hit 90’s in daytime and low 60’s at night with a breeze making fire place a great thing to use and enjoy. Lots of activities for kids like basketball, pool, lake and arcade. Dog park and facilities are immaculate.Re: Great campgroundGoing in June as well. I guess we'll find out if we like it soon. Hopefully it will be a good time. It looks like they're doing something right because it's sold out for the summer months.Re: 2016 Ram 3500 Crash / Diminished Value Result thomasmnile wrote: One Adam 12: I recall your original post. I understand the diminished value concept and know insurance companies fight such claims tooth and nail. Did your insurance company pursue the claim with the other driver's insurance on your behalf, or did you engage your own attorney and have to go through a civil court action? Glad things resolved favorably, did your truck sustain frame damage that could not be corrected? My attorney hired the diminished value expert and negotiated the property damage claim with the at fault insurance company. The attorney will recoup the expense when personal injury portion of the claim is settled. Totally worth the cost of using the expert and totally worth hiring an attorney who knows what they are doing to negotiate with at fault insurance company. No frame damage according to body shop, although they wouldn't produce scans when asked for them by expert.2016 Ram 3500 Crash / Diminished Value ResultThis is a follow up post regarding the crash I had with my 2016 Ram 3500 Mega Cab DRW. I was sitting at a red light in August of 2017, and was rear ended at 35 MPH by a Class C Motorhome towing a vehicle behind it. We were not towing our RV at the time. The truck had $13,500 in damage. After nearly four months and three trips back to the body shop, the truck wasn't right. I traded the truck with full disclosure. The accident was clearly visible on CarFax as well. The truck had less than 12k miles on it and was garage kept. Before the crash it had a trade value of $52k. After the crash it was $45k, confirmed at four different dealerships. I heard lots of speculation and opinions on diminished value with no clue how it would turn out. To settle the property damage portion of the claim, our attorney hired a diminished value expert who examined the car at the body shop and completed a comprehensive report. I was able to recover the value lost as a result of the crash. There are obviously lots of factors which can change the outcome. I'm posting this information to share a real world outcome, in hopes it may help someone who may find themselves in a similar predicament.Re: Selecting a 5th wheel hitch for my truck/toy hauler comboPullRite Superlite. It's prevents having to pull forward, back up, guess at the right height etc. You attach PullRite capture plate with ball to your existing hitch, mount the hitch itself to rails and pin the unit in place. I installed mine in 20 minutes and carried it myself. It's easy to take out if you need the bed of your truck for something. The ease of getting attached is amazing to me. You simply pull anywhere near the funnel and then lower the ball into cup. I'll never go back to traditional hitch.Re: Suggestions on reputable 5th wheel toy hauler Dick 641 wrote: I've got a Grand Design an couldn't be happier with there support X2Re: Looking for Mountain CG recommendation GA, NC, or TNBald Mountain Camping Resort, Hiawassee, GA.
