We just closed for the season and pulled our 5th wheel home till next Spring. The seasonal spot we are at, has a few pine trees and pine sap got all over the front of the camper. Can anyone suggest a safe way of removing all that sap. We just bought this 5th wheel back in Feb of this year and want to make sure we don't harm the paint. Thank you for any suggestionsRe: Sewage in CamperGot a call from Insurance and they are totaling the camper...just what I wanted to hear...but it will be next week before they can get the check written...we missed our week vacation this week..but hopefully we can be camping by next weekend again Tom Johnson Camping Center put our name on a camper just like what we had..it was the last one they had too...he reserved it first of last week for us..he just knew we would be needing it lol... they will have it ready for us when we get the check. We should be happy campers again soon :)Re: Sewage in CamperWe are on the lowest part of the campground and at the end of the sewage line, the sewage cap got lodge right before the sewage enters the septic tank, my neighbor which is on a different sewage line had a backup with hers to the next day...they were there and caught it in time...the sewer pipes are very old and and thin, the sewer pipe was actually smashed...My neighbor and I are in the oldest part of the campground...Still waiting on insurance to settle with us...My insurance is Progressive, first time I have ever used them and seems like they are taking forever..it will be 2 weeks Thursday.Re: Sewage in CamperNo one in the campground unhooks sewer lines when they leave for the weekend. The campground underground sewer pipes were very old and would not be up to code for todays standards...the culprit was a sewage cap got lodged in the pipe and clogged it up. The owners have no ideal how the cap got in the lines. Our site is at the end of this septic line and our camper got all the backup.Sewage in CamperI have a problem, just bought my camper in Feb 2014...its brand new. I keep it parked in a campground from April till October. Just started camping April 18, 2014, we are weekend campers only since hubby works through the week...I get a call last Thursday night from campground owners that their sewer lines had a blockage and raw sewage was all in my camper..it was seeping out of the slideouts...it was coming out of the shower, bathroom sink and kitchen sink. We always leave the black tank closed and the grey tank open. I call my insurance company...they are thinking this camper can be cleaned up and lived in again, but they don't know for sure since they never had a claim like this before...the adjuster is coming out Wednesday to see the damage. It was standing waste water was all over the camper floor from one end to the other. When they moved it off my site so they could fix the damage sewer pipes the sewage just poured out. I do not think this camper should be lived in ever again. I don't see how they can clean every nook and cranny. Has anyone had this happen to them?
