2018 EXPLORER MPG WHILE TOWING
2018 Ford Explorer 3.5L 6 speed transmission. Not twin turbo model. Our non towing highway mileage is 20. Towing our 3,5oo pound hybrid mileage drops to 11. Our previous tow vehicle, a Kia Sedona, got 14 and had a bigger motor and five speed tranny. Is this all I can expect for mileage? Does'nt help that it has only a 18.5 gallon fuel capacity4.5KViews0likes15CommentsEVER HOT TERMINAL?
First long trip with our new to us 2018 Ford Explorer with factory tow package. I easily installed my Prodigy brake controller. On our first long trip we noticed trailer batteries are not charging while we drive. There is no power on the ever hot terminal on the Explorer. Is there a fuse that needs to be installed? Last year two stray cats camped with us eating hot dogs. Obviously skinney and left behind by their owners. I saw one sleeping in the warm coles in the morning. Very sad. We tried to take them home but they wanted nothing to do with it.606Views0likes0CommentsRe: surge protector and water filters
Congratulatiions on the new rig. May I just say that after nearly 40 years of RVing, including full timing, I have never used or needed a water filter, surge protector, special TP or TP chemicals. A water pressure regulator for sure and a black tank internal flusher. But none of that other stuff.366Views0likes0Comments
