i also have 2004 roadtrek, i was told that the compartment needed to be reinforced and the slide out tray installed which would cost several hundred dollars for the parts. I wanted to do the battery also, but it sounded like more problems than it was worth. You also had to drill holes in the compartment with no templates available. I ended up changing to the led lights and new 12 volt tv. I want to install a second coach battery in my 2004 roadtrek. There is a outside compartment in front of the wheel well that was used to install a battery as a option. This compartment does not have holes cut out for the battery cables, or venting holes. I can cut the holes, but am concerned if this fiberglass compartment is strong enough to hold the weight of a battery. Do I need to reinforce the bottom with a brace?. Any things I need to be aware of in connecting the two batteries together?. The other battery is in a comparment with a slide for the battery to come out. It is located just in back of the wheel well, so the cables have to be custom made. About 3 feet I guess. Any advice or hints would be appreciated.2.1KViews0likes4Comments
