Also want to have some water in the bottom if we need to go on the way home so it doesn't stick.Re: Can you run the furnace while the slide is pulled in?We have one in the floor that will be blocked. Can you run the furnace while the slide is pulled in?My husband and I live in out TT most of the year. We are leaving first thing tomorrow morning to go from Pennsylvania to Arkansas. I was hoping to get everything winterize tonight so all we had to do was hop in the truck and go, but we are leaving some water in the black tank to clean it on the way home. We can use electric heaters for the night, but I was wondering if we could run our furnace so our black tank would stay warm and not freeze we will have a low of around 25 tonight. We are also stopping about half way and staying in a parking lot to rest for the night and we're wanting to run it then as well.Re: Water heater clatteringWe just bought the camper in July and are dealing with the previous owners neglect. We flushed out the tank and replaced the element. Now to see if it works. It was very badly corroded.Re: Water heater clatteringThe water themperature hasn't changed at all. And this would be the third element put in since July if I have to replace it. Im going to drain and flush the tank out and hopefully that fixes it. If not I'll get another new element. Last time it went out it never made a noise just stopped working.Re: Water heater clatteringWould the check valve make noise when it's heating or just when the water is running? I can run water through and it makes no noise till it starts heating again, then it sounds like an angry coffee pot.Re: Water heater clatteringIt only makes the noise when it's heating. It doesn't make noise when the waters running.Re: Water heater clatteringWe have a single valve bypass but its open, I already checked it and checked the pressure relief only water comes out, no air.Re: Water heater clatteringWhere would the air be at in the lines? We've used the water heater for two days and it's not sputtering any like theirs air when we use the faucet. I'll drain it in the morning, I need to flush it out anyway just wondering how this happened.
