How do I test between the main breaker and the neutral?Re: Trailer won't operate on plugged in powerNo, the AC power does not work at home now either. I had a friend with a tester at the park with us and he tested the source. Power was available. All the breakers I can access in the power panel have been checked and all look good. All the 12v fuses are good too. Reverse polarity fuses are also good.Trailer won't operate on plugged in powerHaving a confounding problem. My Cougar RLS27 won't run on shore power, only on the batteries. On my latest three day camping trip, when we plugged into the 30 amp outlet at the state park our trailer was read - no appliances, no 110 outlets. It would only run off of battery power. Before we left, we had the trailer plugged into a 110 circuit at home with no issues. We thought it might be the power converter, so when we got back I replaced it but no change. Interesting this is that it appears to have power at the breaker box. When I test from ground to all the breakers, I'm getting a 110 reading. Even getting power input to the converter. Has anyone seen an issue like this and have a suggestion? Would really appreciate the help. ThanksRe: 6V Deep Cycle BatteriesHey everyone, thanks for your help. When I read the first reply regarding connecting improperly, it hit me like a lightening bolt that this is probably exactly what I did. I did check the batteries water level and it is fine. I also checked each cell with a hydrometer and everyone looks fully charged. Thanks again for your advice!6V Deep Cycle BatteriesI'm Using 2 deep cycle 6 volt batteries wired in series in my trailer. I bought the batteries last fall after the camping season was over for us. I put the batteries on a 12v trickle charger over the winter to keep them charged. When I initially installed them this year they still were not charged very well. After a couple of trips where I couldn't keep them charged I bought a Schumacher SE-70MA deep cycle charger to charge the batteries. When I reinstalled the batteries in the trailer and switched on the battery it blew two 40 amp and one 15 amp fuses immediately. What gives?
