They are only good for about 10 years unless they are maintained properly. Brakes and wheel bearing would be next on the list to check. Then the frige, stove, hot water heater and furnace. Check the caulking as well at the corners to make sure they are solid and no water has been leaking behind the siding.Re: Looking at buying a Weekend Warrior????A dealer for Momentum in Central CA is advertising a 397 for 77K. They claim to be a high volume dealer. Wonder what would be a good counter offer to that without insulting them. Any ideas?Re: DRW vs SRW TrucksThanks for the feedback everyone. It's amazing that when I bought the DRW in 2006 I thought that I would have enough truck to tow the upgrade when that day happened. 10 years later I'm in need of a new truck and I'll just either order one or find one in the outlining areas of the Bay Area. I don't want to do mods to a SRW, because the bottom line is with or without Mod's your tow rating is what is on the door sticker. And just got done talking to the wife, and she still wants the bigger 5'er.Re: DRW vs SRW TrucksWell..not really. I'm trying to see what is the biggest anyone has towed with a SRW truck and how it handled. I know I'm going to need a DRW for a 40' TH, but if I can get the wife to scale down to a 35' TH, then I may be able to getaway with a SRW. So how does a 17,000 TH handle on SRW.DRW vs SRW TrucksWife and I are looking at a Grand Design Momentum 397TH. Weight on that 5'er is 20,000 lbs loaded. I currently have a 2006 DRW truck now and need to buy a newer truck to handle that sort of capacity. I see that the single rear wheel drive trucks have a capacity of only 17,000 lbs. Does anyone tow in the 20,000 lb class with a single? I know your not legal, but just curious if anyone has had any issues with single rear wheel. Thanks....I know I'll be getting another DRW, but if I can get the wife to scale down on the trailer size, maybe I can get a SRW instead.Re: 2 people and a Miata.I'd be afraid of the ramp door breaking. Not sure what they are rated for.Re: DRW or SRWDually all the way. You won't be happy with a SRW. Like others have already mentioned and I do the same. Get your yourself a commuter car.Re: 3905 CR WWIsn't that one of the reasons why WW went out of business in the first place. Weren't they building toy haulers with the added garage and then customers were over loading them causing them to have frame damage. But claimed it was a manufacture defect and wanted them fixed under warranty. Therefore WW went out of business because of all the claims they were repairing.Re: We've been living on the wrong side of the tracksVery nice. I checked them out and I think the Grand Design Momentum product is just as nice and it's half the price. Although the GD is not designed for full timing, I'm not retired yet, so it isn't an issue. Not saying I wouldn't buy a DRV, just not now.Re: Comparing Customer Service and QualityLauraK.....you need to shop around. I got a $16K price difference on the same model but different dealer.
