I have a Onan QD 8K generator on my MH with 878 hrs. on it and do not worry about the fuel cost, etc. As the my need for power supercedes the cost for fuel, etc. Solar power will not provide enough electrical power to operate my needs. I recently spent 14 hrs. running my gen. outside their TRUCK REPAIR Garage when my alternator died whle traveling, leaving me along the side of Rte. 31 in Indiana. I sat from 4:30P.M. to 6:30P.M. waiting for a tow truck to arrive. I was towed to their shop 20 miles and arrived around 10:00P.M. I will stick to my generator every time. and the gen overnight.295Views0likes0CommentsRe: So do you all use level jacks of some sort ?
I have Equalizer Leveling System on my MH. When I get in my site I push Auto Level and the air bags dump, the jacks extend and level the MH front to back and side to side. This system works great and I have not had any problems with it in the 14 years of traveling. I have Michelin 275/80R/22.5 as this my 2nd set now having 63,000 miles since purchased. FMCA offers discounts by Michelin. This set is 8 years old and look like ride great. Their must be a reason that most expensive Motorhomes have Michelin on them.
