I did have an issue with Maryland when it decided not to charge a toll the last time I went through. I ended up removing the license plate and adding it back in and it started working again. We sold our last TT through consignment 2 years ago and was happy with the results. Our situation is somewhat unique because our TT was in NJ while we lived in GA. Plus, it was during a time when Used units were in high demand post-pandemic. A unit that NADA valued at $18k - $25k pre-pandemic ended up selling for $33k more than 2 years later. We had a friend with a truck take the TT to the dealer. A little over a month later it was sold. We went with a dealer that charged a 15% fee to sell the unit. The first dealer we approached (where we bought it) charged 20%. The dealer priced it a little higher than we expected and sold it for $2k less than the asking price, which was $3k more than we expected. They had a buyer come from Maine to look at and ultimately buy it. There was no way we were going to go up to NJ every time someone wanted to look at the TT, according to the Dealer they had a lot of folks look at it. So consignment was really the only option. Once they received payment from the buyer, we sent the the dealer the Title and about 10 days later we had a check. If we were local, we would have saved 5 or 6 days in getting paid. We probably wouldn't have used consignment if we had the TT at home. We have sold 2 different RVs through Craigslist before and had good success. The key to selling on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace is to ask a reasonable price so it sells quickly. I purchased this ODBII reader and like way2roll, I use the Torque app. Lots of good info for free. The paid for version gives you more and is like $5. The unit I linked to is for Android only, if you have an iPhone, you might need to get a different reader. CoachNet told us they could only tow us to the nearest Dealership, about 10 miles away and they'd have the driver drop our HTT at the nearest campground, they wouldn't allow us to pay extra to go where we wanted. We called AAA (we had AAA Plus with RV). They towed us the 90 miles to our destination campground and then dropped the tow vehicle at the dealership a few miles from the campground. AAA has a lot of haters and sometimes they have left us waiting for a couple hours on the side of the road, sometimes their fault, sometimes a slow tow truck driver or a driver that was far from us, but we've always been able to get towed where we want and if it is a further tow than the 100 mile tow that we have for free, we can pay a few extra dollars per mile. The one thing I really like about AAA is it works with any vehicle, no matter who owns it, as long as I am there with my card, I get service. On the East Coast, AAA has never let us down. Most RV maintenance info I have read, says check your roof seals once a year. You've only had the unit for 5 months. Don't let them tell you it is a maintenance issue. Hold on to that work order! I would demand that the dealer send the trailer to Forest River. With the roof messed up from the factory, there is definitely mold and probably lots of it. I'm thinking Forest River will have to completely replace the unit to make this right. I hope they do. I'm thinking stop for a few nights in Brunswick, GA (exit 29 area). Camp at Coastal GA RV Resort or Blythe Island Regional Park and Campground. You can then hit Savannah for one night on your way to Charleston or just a day trip from Brunswick. One day head south down to Amelia Island just north of Jacksonville, FL. It's about an hour from Brunswick. The beaches on Amelia Island are nice and the downtown area has some good restaurants. I'd also suggest St. Augustine, FL about 90 minutes south of Brunswick. Amelia Island and St. Augustine should be 2 separate trips. There is enough at both to warrant an entire day each. Then, since you like to bike, I would suggest Jekyll Island, GA for a day. You can bike the entire island, along the beach and river as well as inland. Lots of wildlife to see as well as a rich history of the wealthiest of America in the early 1900s. Jekyll Island's Driftwood Beach has been rated one of the nicest beaches in the country. Jekyll Island is about 15 minutes from Coastal GA RV Resort and 20 minutes from Blythe Island. Savannah is about an hour north of Brunswick. I would also suggest the Okefenokee Swamp as previously mentioned, both the Park in Waycross (take the boat and train tour) and the National Wildlife Refuge outside Folkston, GA. From Brunswick, they are about 45 - 50 minutes and they are about 1 hour apart from each other (yes, the Swamp is that large) At the Park, you can also visit the Reptile Center for some education. At the National Wildlife Refuge, you can rent (or bring your own) Kayaks and Canoes and travel the swamp. They also offer boat tours at the Refuge. I would not limit your tour of GA to just Savannah, you will miss a lot. In Coastal GA, there are no low bridges that I am aware of. -Michael1.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Strong urine smell in bathroom
I can't see how black tank deodorizing chemicals would help with a urine smell. If it is indeed a Dometic 300 toilet, the chemicals won't help. Once urine enters the black tank it adds to the existing stink and urine is not as strong an odor as what else is in the tank. If it is not a Dometic 300 toilet, get a black light and a bottle of Nature's Miracle or other Enzyme based pet stain cleaner. The black light will show you where the urine stains are and the Enzymes will eliminate the stain and odor. I don't think I'd ever use anything other than Reolink. Their customer service is pretty good, both through email and on the phone. All the cameras I am currently using can be used with a NVR or Computer.
