Brakes were fine up until we pulled up to pump to refuel. After refueling, we started to drive away when I felt the brake pedal go all the way to the floor. Luckily I was able to apply the e-brake and got the rig stopped. No dash lights came on to indicate any brake trouble, and a check of the brake fluid reservoir showed it full and no leaks. At this point, we called GS Roadside Assist for help (completely useless I might add, but that's another story), and after many calls back and forth the final outcome was that we were going to have to spend the weekend boondocked at this Pilot filling station. We settled in for the night, but after dark I thought I would give the brakes another check and found them to be working again. Back on the road, we completed our journey without further incident. Will have the rig into service tomorrow to have everything checked out, but wondering what could have caused this problem? Anyone have any similar experience or idea as to what could have caused this?Re: Ok, backing up a step.. Maybe 50%? No; especially not as a "system-wide rule". Don't forget that for every person that gets a discount, somebody else's costs go up. I wish that same logic was applied to everything else. I pay about $15k a year to various school boards. I have no children. My neighbours children however get 'world class' educations for 'free'. I think the term is, in the truest sense of the words, "universal sufferage". Everybody suffers so a few get a benefit. :h Sorta hard to see a parallel between maintaining civic responsibilities like educating the nation's children and subsidizing a recreational activity like paid camping-? Exactly. Excellent point. Also your other point about for everyone who gets a discount means that someone else is gonna be picking up the tab is 100% correct. Nothing is free or discounted. The costs are gonna be picked up or spread elsewhere to other people.Re: Driving home my point Francesca Knowles wrote: Most folks find it annoying to be behind something they can't see beyond. You yourself likely feel the same way when driving an ordinary car. I know I do. When driving an RV, learn to "yield". Always be prepared to let the guy behind you pass. Sit back, enjoy the trip, and let the rat race go on without you! Good advice.
