Other than trickle charge, solar or anything like that while I'm gone. It's in storage so neither is an option. I sincerely appreciate everyone's feedback.Golf cart battery opinions?I know this isn't exactly TT related, but lots of us have golf carts, the difference is that I don't know much about them.... I need 6 of them and want to make an informed decision before I buy. I'm a weekend warrior at best, more like once a month that I'll be using it. Can I use the Duracell ones at Sam's Club or do I need to spend the extra money for the Trojan 105's? I only use it in two day bursts over the weekend once a month and always charge it overnight while I'm there. Seems like with that kind of use I could get away with it, I'm sure for full timers maybe it makes sense. I'd REALLY appreciate any opinions. Thanks to all!Re: What's with the ridgey exterior walls on the Jayco TTs?Just the cleaning, I actually kind of like the appearance, but I'm all about practicality not aesthetics. I'll say this, I don't clean it NEARLY as much as I would if it were flat. Ever try to pay a pro to do it? They charge double.Re: What's with the ridgey exterior walls on the Jayco TTs?Thank you Mike Up, exactly what I was looking for.Re: Bunk house...Pro's and Con'sI love it, if nothing else it makes for great temporary'ish storage. In reality, how often will they actually get used.Re: What's with the ridgey exterior walls on the Jayco TTs?I'm sorry if this was answered already, but I got to page 4 of not answering the question and the ensuing debate over construction. 1.) What does stick and tin construction have to do with riffled siding? 2.) Other than ease of cleaning, why is one better than the other. (Appearance preferences aside) 3.) I'm no aerodynamics engineer, but please don't tell me the difference for either is SIGNIFICANT enough to have any real impact to fuel consumption. I have the riffled Jayco 19BH and hate it, just so I can be upfront out my position on the matter. As stated earlier, RESPECTFULLY.Re: I nearly killed the other camp sites kid Screwin' with..Well, I'll go ahead and say what no one else is willing to. I'd be pretty careful who's kid you go "picking up". Wrong as the kid may be, it wouldn't have worked out well if you picked up my kid. I'm just sayin'.Re: prepping for 1300 mi tripFort Wilderness? A pocket full of money.... I love it there but man you will drop some coin.Re: bug sprayI absolutely swear by the bug granules you can buy at HD or Lowes that you sprinkle around the border of the camper, particularly where the tires and jack meet the ground. Since it's easy enough to do it I throw a bit under the camper as well. Mine lives on a site so it's worth the nominal expense. In 3 years I haven't done anything else except ant traps once and it was my fault because the counters didn't get wiped down well enough. Also, if you're only camping for the weekend that's barely enough time for the treatment to work a whole lot, in fact it just gets them on the move to get away from the treatment.
