Removed awning 4 years ago saved 70 pounds of weight. Haven't missed it one bit. Use rear awning often.Re: Considering 100 watt folding Solar PanelI mounted two 100 watt Renogy solar panels no screws required. I used combination of Sticky Feet mounting brackets and home made brackets. All held down with 3M VHB tape. The gelcoat will fail before this tape fails. Covered brackets with Dicor self leveling sealant. They have held tight for 25,000 miles . And nobody can walk off with them. Re: Happijack Intermittant ProblemHappijack new motors design changed wire enters under gear housing. Old design wires entered side of round motor housing Clearly there was a design issue My jacks are over six years old with thousands of miles ,never had to grease lead screw They manually crank up and down with no effort. Re: Happijack Intermittant ProblemHad two HappiJack motors die ,started with same symptoms as yours. inside of electric motor full of water ,bad bad design. Re: Want to add DC circuit to Northern LiteI added 12 volt circuits to my NorthernLite 8-11 QueenClassic i Wasn't able to get wires to bed area , but i installed Blue Sea Systems 12 Volt Dash Socket and Blue Sea Systems Dual USB Charger Socket in front of cabinet face to left of sink. Next to hot water tank switch. If you remove dinette plywood seat top from from over electrical panel. you will gain access to back of fuse panel . There are many unused 12 circuit wires coiled up back there. find out which wire and empty fuse plug go together. Splice onto wire for positive connection. For ground wire Cut existing ground wire and spliced in Blue Sea Systems Common 100A 5-Gang Mini BusBar to connect new ground connections. The wires can be snaked under silverware draw and up face of cabinet to left of sink. I Used #10 wire to minimize current loss. Insert fuse and your powered up.Re: where to buy new mattressLast year we changed our mattress in our Northern Lite 8-11 with LUCID 5 Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress - Dual-Layered - CertiPUR-US Certified - Firm Feel - Queen Size from Amazon $150.00 with Hypervent underneath .
