All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Went from not too bad to too bad Yes, I think the thing I'm missing the most right out of the gate is the "new" section. I too do not like having to go to each "group" to find anything. Yes, I see the "Trending" page and I guess that's close to the same thing? Still giving it a chance, but I had hoped it would be more like the F150 and Ford Escape forums I use too.. Those have the same basic layouts as the old rv.net site had, but just more "refined" with all the "Like" and better search features, etc. Kinda like going from Windows XP to Windows 11 in one day! Mitch Re: Leaving I'm getting used to it slowly.. I had to reset my password again after being on here yesterday, but no big deal.. I'll give it a shot and at least we can "Like" posts now.. There were a lot of times on the old rv.net that I really liked a post, but didn't really need to add another post just to say that. Anyway, I even figured out how to bookmark it! ha, ha.. 🙂 Oh, to the Admins.. The users "Signatures" need to be placed lower in posts. At least in a new paragraph. Right now they look like it's part of the reply or post. Mitch Re: Pass through storage on an Arctic Fox 32aNot sure on the inside dimensions, but here is a pic of the size of the doors on that year/model I found on the internet. MitchRe: I'm curious to know what you would do? wowens79 wrote: I'd keep the one you have and drive it until it hits 250k miles. My last truck I drove for 20 years and 268k miles. Never any internal engine or trans issues. As long as it stays reliable, I'd rather put the money in a camper, boat, or invest. That's what I was thinking too. :)Re: Wax on Wax Off?I've been using a foam cannon with the "ceramic" wax mixed in with the soap and it does a pretty good job on the trailer. Originally got it for the cars and it does a great job on them too so figured I'd try it on the trailer. Makes washing so much easier. Just spray it on, use the washing brush to wash it then rinse it off. No more buckets to fill/haul around. Setting up the pressure washer is about the only thing that takes time, but I've got the quick connect hose fittings on it, so not a big deal. MitchRe: Inverter draw from battery for residential fridgeIf you only have a single 12v battery I can't see that lasting very long without some additional charging the whole time it's running? Look into the LI batteries out there now. You say you don't have room for a second battery? Humm... 41 foot TT should have some room on the tongue for more batt capacity? My little 26' TT has 2 batts from factory. I can add more if needed, but my needs do not require that at this point. Good luck! MitchRe: Sensitive headlight sensorI know it's a special feature of the truck.. My 2013 F150 has that too... I think I used it once.. It turns on when it's in the garage.. I park the truck in the garage. Didn't want that to happen every time I started the truck in the garage. Just went back to my roots and turn them on when it's needed and turn them off when not. :) Not trying to be snarky about it, as you and I did "pay" for that feature... Well, it came in an option package, so no choice unless you didn't want the whole package, which I did for the other features I use all the time.. Anyway, I still miss the high beams being a big button you pressed with your left foot under the parking brake pedal! :) :) MitchRe: Window Problems...Re: Tanks on 5th wheel, how many and how do they work?Well, there is no way to give you a tutorial thru words. No manual includes anything to tell you how the mechanicals function on any RV. You will need to browse thru youtube videos for the best kind of 'free' help in the issues you have and just learn as you go! I hope your situation improves as you move forward with the hand you are dealt.. Good luck! MitchRe: Trailer hitch with sway barsIf this is the style of HD setup you have, then the dealer is just being a d!$%.. This is what I have and it's over 22 years old and my dealer installed it and adjusted the hitch head height to match the new trailer tongue, which was higher then my old TT. They did that job while I was going thru the walk thru of the trailer. Didn't charge me any extra $$ either.. All they had to do was put the stirrups on the trailer tongue and then adjust the hitch head to match, which was adjustable to begin with. Maybe your hitch is not rated for the size of the new TT you got? My WD hitch head is #14,000 with a #12,000 ball on it. The bars are #1000 rated so well within the specs of the new TT I got and still have and it all still works just fine.. Good luck! Mitch
