We have a Starcraft Comet 1221 with it. Only the largest models have (small) holding tanks. We have a cassette toilet that holds 5 gallons and no grey tank.Re: Your 1999 Roadtrek 190 Popular House Battery LocationThe battery is factory installed under the floor of the van. The lid to the battery box is part of the wood floor under the carpet in the rear storage area under the back seat in the left (driver side) of the van; it is a rectangle cut in the wood floor held in by 8 or 10 screws IIRC.Re: Your 1999 Roadtrek 190 Popular House Battery LocationThat is indeed where the factory installed it. Remove the screws from the wood floor in the rear storage area to access the battery(s). The box will accommodate 2 batteries; the second battery was optional.Re: 1998 Roadtrek 190 Dodge ChassisYes, the water is condensate from the evaporator. Best for the van to be very slightly nose high. The coach power switch should be on. If you don't turn it on the coach battery(s) will not be charged. Conversely, if you are staying plugged in to shore power for weeks leave the coach power switch off so the coach batteries are not overcharged. This is assuming the original transformer type power converter is still in place. Modern solid state converters will not overcharge batteries. There is no problem running the fridge on 12VDC or 110AC instead of propane. But propane is the most efficient, 110 is middle of the road and 12 volt is the least efficient. The propane burner provides the best source of heat for the fridge, the 12 volt is basically like a car cigarette lighter.Re: Viking Express micro pupOh my gosh that looks just like the Appleby camper we had back in the 1970's. Do a Google search for Appleby Camper for some history of the design.Re: Roadtrek FloorRoadtrek dropped aisle floors of that vintage had some flex to them, but I would not call it spongy. The dropped floor is completely fiberglass, there is no wood or bracing involved. It is supported completely by the flange around the edges of the hole cut in the original metal van floor. I'd suggest you crawl underneath with a bright light and have a look while someone walks on the floor above. What you're describing could be perfectly normal.Re: "My Roadtrek" website has closedRodger, sorry I just caught this post. You did a good service to the B community with your website. As others have said, thanks for the memories. A lot has changed in the 14 years since we bought our Roadtrek. We just made a deal to trade it on a new Starcraft popup. We've come full circle; started out with a popup 40 years ago. The popup will be great fun with the grandkids. I have a Toyota FJCruiser to tow with. Sorry for getting off topic, just wanted to catch up with you. You'll probably find me over in the Popup forum :)Re: B+ motorhomesHey thanks Larry, that works. We looked at a used model 211 a few months ago. I was surprised, it was very nice especially for the price. The one we looked at had 2 sofas instead of the sofa and dinette. I guess that was/is an option?Re: B+ motorhomesJim, I can't find the model 225 on Trail Lite's website. Am I looking in the wrong place, or have they just not updated the website yet? I wanted to see the floorplan with the dry bath.Re: B+ motorhomesDan, Very sorry to hear of your tragic loss. Your Forum Friends thoughts are with you.
