I have a 2020 Silverado 2500, CC, 4x4, short bed, 6.6 gas. Tow a small Grand Design toy hauler @8400 lbs with no toy in it. It’s 12’6” tall and have gotten as little as 6 mpg towing against a head wind to 9 under good conditions. Empty with flat ground, no headwind, cruise control under 60 it will get 20 mph. I have a 2020 Chevy 2500 with the 6.6 gas. Towing 8400 lbs I am getting 6 to 9 mpg depending on terrain and wind. Head wind is a killer on mpg. Non towing it will get 20 mpg on flat ground, no wind, cruise control, an under 60 mph. Normal interstate at 70 will get 18. About 2 mpg less than my 2016 1500 with a 5.3 which I didn’t tow with. We just bought an new Grand Design 21G toy hauler. It’s small toy hauler that has the rear deck option with the sliding glass doors. This is what sold us on it. With the deck down it just seems so much larger and has more room for our dogs. Would also help with kids.231Views0likes0Comments
