All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsBlue Ridge ParkwayI will be in Raleigh & only have a couple days, I would like to experience the Blue Ridge Parkway & hopefully have some opportunity to hike. I will be in a Class B Can someone recommend a campground, I will be there mid October Thanks DennisRe: Fiberglass Repair HelpI have owned commercial fiberglass boats for 30 plus years, this happens with all the flex, I would not worry to much about it. If it is the look you do not like take to a fiberglass boat repair for an opinionRe: Is it time to tripI posted earlier, I was tired of home quarantine, I did 14 days as I recently flew I left in the MH this morning drove nearly 8 hours, slow backroads from FL to NC, bought gas twice used clean gloves a credit card & tonight I am boon docked in rural NC. I have not seen or talked to another individual, I am going to continue with no particular destination in mind. My objective, enjoy the open road & avoid all contact with people,Re: Is it time to tripI have been out for 3 weeks & glad I am. Gas stations & supermarket are open. Private campgrounds are open & happy to have us. We are adhering to all recommendations & I will tell you my MH has been completely sanitized I feel safe & secureRe: Anyone interested in 83 Pace Arrow Tear down and Rebuild?Thank you, that is a lot of workRe: Anyone interested in 83 Pace Arrow Tear down and Rebuild?I have followed on & off, I would like to see a few pictures of what the MH looks like nowRe: Hurricane! It turned out to be a non event, for that I am grateful. Although having to evacuate is stressful, being able to do so with your own bed, kitchen & generator reduces the stress. Although I hear a lot about issues with absorption refrigeration, I would have nothing else, mind ran for 5 days & I never worried about battery drain DennisRe: Hurricane!2nd update Mandatory evacuations start where I live at 10 am tomorrow 9/2 Tolls have been lifted on all highways The emergency lane on highway has been open to drive on Was looking for an RV park, most locally are not taking new arrivals until Thursday 9/5, by chance I called Sun-N-Fun RV park in Sarasota,Fl , way out of the cone & only 185 miles away, not only did they have space but if you are an evacuee they cut the daily rate by 1/2: very cool! Will update as to what drive is likeRe: Hurricane!Update, looks as though conditions are going to get worse, I will make my decision on Tuesday. As it looks now I will head southwest with most recent update I would probably have to go no farther then 100 miles. I have 25 gallons of gas in 5 low profile boat fuel tanks on the roof. I have an integrated roof rack & multiple redundant tie downs. Using a boat priming build I made a siphon kit, i will not have to carry tanks down. I am also taking a 3kw Honda generator in addition to on board gen. If necessary to be out for several days I prefer the Honda Things are pretty busy, fuel is still available police are escorting the tanker to get them in & out quicklyRe: Hurricane!I am not near as concerned about wind as I am water, as I have done in the past I will get inland find a recently constructed big box store & park as close to it side as I can. It is relatively each to follow the storm with all the sites tracking it & if really bad I just keep driving
