We had 6 months of service when we bought our truck. We always listened mostly to music and it sounded tinny and hollow. It has been said the stream is compressed to 32kbps but I don't think it's that much. I paid my first bill online and this message was waiting for me. Wow, I can upgrade! Looks like I need to agree to it before I can see what it is though. Yep, I wasn't a current customer so they needed my ID. They didn't know anything about this plan but they do now. V1.0.1 firmware pushed sometime this morning. Good to go. I went through the online activation process. Ended up with this, "We're Sorry, Your order requires further review by an AT&T representative. Please visit your local AT&T store for additional assistance." So much for easy. In the brief experience I've had 7 is better then even 8.1. Our Granddaughter brought her Win 8.1 machine over so she and Grandma could scan photos but 8.1 has built-in drivers for wifi printing only. Brother has no wifi scanner drivers for 8.1. Might be a workaround but why fight it. Grandmas Win 7 laptop has wifi scanner drivers supplied by Brother and works just fine.
