That is exactly my plan when I joined this forum. My youngest will go to college 2023, and I will be free after that. After reading this and other forums for several months, I changed my mind. I will be getting a class B, most likely a Winnebago ERA 70X at the end of next year. I will have 4 weeks international travel next summer. Otherwise, I may buy now. So read on, you might change you mind, too.Re: MH or 5thI am asking about safety. Anybody has first hand experience? Thanks.MH or 5thI read many threads on this forum and elsewhere. I guess most people buying either will have to do research on this. I want to ask it from the safety point of view. From the reading it seems MH lacks structure integrity and can break down badly in a collision. It seems to be safer to drive a truck, which has to pass crash testing and other regulations. I rented RV (class C) before and loved the experience. And after the retirement, I am looking to get on the road full time for about 10 years. Looking to travel about 10K every year. I will be buying new. Don’t have a truck yet, neither a toad. Looking at a one time budget of about $250K.
