Not enough for a 5er. I noticed the Big 3, do not put a 3.9 or 4.1 rear axle in their 1/2 ton PUs. Even some 3/4 ton PUs still only tow about 14K lb, not very much. So, I would really need to buy a full 1 ton truck, to pull a 5th wheel, big enough for 2 people, dog & kitty. I'm thinking at least 30 feet, plus a slide would work for us, to travel around the country. However, that would cost a lot of money. I notice 5th wheels and HD PU trucks have increased in price, quite a bit over the past 7-8 yrs. The Big 3 have no competition. Toyota's Tundra can only tow about 10K lb, and that the most truck you can get from Toyota. Nissan is 9500 lb, so even less. However, the titan can be purchased for less than most other comparable PUs. New only, the only way I would buy used is like from friends or family. Any other suggestions on a PU truck/5er rig, at least 30 ft long?Re: Paying for RVing or traveling dfm wrote: Go to your bank or credit card issuer and have the daily cash advance limit increased. This sounds like a possibility. I could then mail them a check to cover the cash advance, from a money market acc at Vanguard, TRow Price or Fidelity.Paying for RVing or travelingI do most of my RVing around FL. Travel by plane to visit friends & relatives, who farther away. Either way I need to have money. I have CC (credit cards)and DC (debit cards). But,I keep my money in mutual funds, not at banks. So, I need some emergency way to get money, if the need arose. Traveler's Checks do not work like they used to. My CCs have large spending limits, but much smaller cash advances. Any ideas on how to carry more cash available with me. Something like a GC (gift card) with the ability to get cash at an ATM. That also is password protected. I have used Amex & Walmart GCs in the past. They worked well for me. Sometimes they even give discounts on gas. I would think a GC with the ability to get cash at an ATM and is protected in some way, from theft or loss, would be a great product. Anyone know of such an animal? How I prevented bad stuff on my XP machineBad a couple of yrs ago, I still has XP. I would document the number of processes going on. Check occasionally to see if there was something there that shouldn't be. Worst case was having to reload OS. With Win7. I guess that still the case. I just downloaded a new Flash from Adobe. The site said Adobe, I been there before. I have seen things that were clearly something that a rational experienced end user would not download. I'm just not as sure as I used to be, about all this. I use Windows Defender and McAfee Security Scan Plus. Is there is a way, to look at all that's going on in your PC? Win 7 is much more complex, many many processes going on. I don't think that will work. I don't store any info like passwords. Accept in the desk next to my PC. They are in hand writing. So, no password is stored in a browser. I'm still a little worried. There's so much media hype, it's hard to tell what is real and what is not!How are viruses & malware spread in today's world1st is by disk, then by e-mail. I use the major e-mail sites and they all scan attachments. I have never had a problem w/Win 7. Browsers are supposed to protect users. Can users get infected by just visiting a web site? I download updates and PDF files. I don't download very much other than that. So, how would I get infected?
