We do not run it on an inverter and have traveled ten hours to Florida with just a couple of frozen one gallon water bottles to keep it cold. We also pack out the freezer with frozen goods everything is solid after ten hours. We will never go back to a gas/electric fridge.Re: Anyone use a Solo StoveLove our Solostove. My wife cannot stand smoke from the campfire and she's the first one to start a campfire now. They get really hot and make sure your legs don't extend over the top.Re: Pickup truck roof racks?I use a Yakima roof rack, takes about 15 minutes to put on. We haul our kayaks on it while pulling th FW.Re: TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Install and ReviewLove our Glowsteps as well, ours are five years old and holding up great. We have been in the market for a new FW but cannot stand the fold up steps so we will keep holding onto our current FW until we can figure out the steps.Re: Camping LightsYou'd all hate me, we light up the trees in our campsite with the red and green laser lights, always get a lot of compliments on them.Re: Buying a used dieselWe purchased a 2008 GMC Sierra 3500 dually with Duramax in 2015. The truck is fully loaded, had 110000 miles and paid $29000. The truck has been solid as a rock and now has 153000 miles. Will be purchasing it's first set of new tires this spring. The only issues we've had is a bad glow plug, a failed o-ring on fuel filter housing and had to replace the anti lock brake regulator. Total repair costs around $300. Love this truck and will drive it another five years. The truck is still worth close to $25000 so it has been a great buy as well.Re: Current crop of SUV'SIll stick with our Honda Odyssey. So much easier to get in and out of, huge amount of cargo room, smooth and lots of power. Don't need to tow with it as we have a dually for that. Cheaper to insure as well and reliable. My wife drives a 2015 Dodge Durango and loves it. It has the V6 and rear wheel drive, which is the main we was on we purchased it. Her only complaint is not enough room inside compared to my Odyssey.Re: Hey Smokers! (meat, that is)We use a Traeger Tailgater. It goes in the bed of the truck.Re: Fresh water tank collapse-week supports.Been there, done that and have the new water tank, modified bracing and Coroplast to show for it. Lost ours on our 2015 FR Sierra 360PDEK while pulling onto the road from our driveway, another half mile and we'd been on the highway. Ours sounded like a big boom when it let go, full of water. A big pain in the ass to remove while sitting in the road full of water. FR stepped up and made all repairs long with additional bracing.Re: Eternabond vs DicorI put Eternabond on all roof seams four years ago and have not had to touch it since. Leave the Dicor in place and thoroughly clean the area with acetone prior to using the Eternabond
