Beautiful drive, no trucks, speed limit is 50mph so you can enjoy the view. Good luck.Re: Your favorite must see items on I10 MS, AL and FL Panhandle?Just after you enter Mississippi take the first exit, check out the info at the welcome center, then instead of going back to I10 take highway 90 down to the beaches. There are small towns, Bay St. Louis, Pass Christian, Long Beach, with local seafood restaurants on the water. Continue on eastbound to Gulfport and Biloxi where you will find casinos, restaurants, shrimp tours, lighthouse tour, and George Orr museum. You can take I110 north out of Biloxi to I10 and continue east into Alabama. It is a beautiful drive along the coast. Have fun.Re: Creede ColoradoThe online newspaper for Creede is the Mineral County Miner. You can go to their website and get up to date information. Also, Creede has a facebook page that is giving good local information.Re: Southern Colorado Fires UpdateThe west fork fire has 149 to Creede closed from the east and the Papoose fire is a getting close to 149 on the western side of Creede. There is no other way out of Creede except 149. Does anyone know if Creede has been ordered to evacuate. I have been going to Creede since 1969, what a beautiful place. Hope and pray all goes well for them.Re: Colorado 160 closedThanks for the information. A lot of campers headed that way trying to find out what is going on with the fires.Re: Bay St Louis, MSThe Mississippi Coast is back from Katrina. Bay St. Louis has two great restaurants in the town overlooking the water: Trapini's and North Beach. There is a bar across from these restaurants with a nice bay view. There are numerous shops, bakeries, and smaller restaurants. Head over to Pass Christian and you will find Wolf's fine dining on Hi 90 and Shaggy's in the Harbor. Downtown Gulfport has numerous restaurants and bars. Hard to believe but Katrina was almost 8 years ago. Hope you have fun.Re: Arrived in Alaska at our SiteGreat pictures, thanks for posting. We are not going to make it up to Alaska this year so your pictures really help. We attended a football game in Lincoln several years ago and really enjoyed the game and the hospitality of the Cornhusker fans. Have fun up there.Re: Driving non stopMy wife and I have done a lot of "through the night" driving in the past. We enjoyed the trips and had some great stories. One reason to travel at night is to avoid the summer time heat. We stopped driving late at night because of the increased crime and drunken drivers. Stopping for gas, food, or a nap in a rest area at 2AM can be interesting these days. Good luck and drive safely.
