Do you have that option? 2. Do you think it was worth it? 3. I assume it has limitations just like home heat pumps?Re: Pullrite Superglide vs. a different Double pivot hitch? Fire Instructor wrote: Hi, All! I'm in the process of selling my travel tailer and moving to a fifth-wheel. wife and I really fell for the new Jayco North Point 377RLBH at last weekend's Hershey Show. I will be the FIRST to admit that I know very little about 5'er hitch systems. I've had several folks, including the reps for the MOR/ryde pin system recommend the Pullrite Superglide, as it is "automatic", and doesn't require getting out to release. (I have a 6' bed in my RAM, and I don't want to bang into the cab when backing the trailer into tight spots.) I have the in-bed "puck" system on the RAM, so I will need to mount the hitch on a picture frame, either Reese or Pullrite. So my question is, do I want the Pullrite Superglide auto slider which is only single pivot? Or am I better off with a double pivot hitch? (and if so, what would you recommend?) Thank you for any help! Love my PullRite SuperGlide. had it since 2002. Pulling a 02 Cougar. no issues and no worries. It does it's job backwards or forwards. When you look at your 5er your purchasing, make sure the nose can go 90 degrees without any issues. Some advertise no slider hitch is needed, as long as you don't turn past X degrees from center. As long as you stay in that range you'll be ok.Re: double pane windows worth it? 2oldman wrote: Dual pane windows Dual pane windows 2 Dual pane 2013 Thx 2Oldmandouble pane windows worth it?Looking for a new 5er. One dealer said that the double pane windows only increase the R insulation factor by +1 or +2. That may be, but I also thought the double panes decreased the water condensation on the insides when heating the rig. I've also heard they make the rig quieter? What are your thoughts on Double pane windows? Worth the upgrade cost? Our current 5er has single pane windows.Re: Lippert Frame Failures bbaker2001 wrote: hello again. would like to know if anyone has looked at my posted pics and if it looks like a frame issue or not. it is out of warranty and I do not think lippert will even talk to me. we are just wanting to know if it looks like it could be a real issue before we buy. thank you. but I do think they should be held responsible for any frame tearing if it was not completely welded correctly. did not see any pics in this thread. BBaker2001, did you post them in another one?Re: Lippert Frame Failures larry barnhart wrote: We have an inbed fuel tank and can see the welds on the tank very easy and to me they look like an artist did the work. I looked at a new big fifth at our rv park that was on display with others to sell. The welds that I could see under the fifth did not look like a welder did the work. Of course I am not a welder but looks would make me wonder if I wanted to buy that fifth. chevman I don't see any photos in this thread, did you post them in a different one? sorry, I picked the wrong reply to quote. I'll pick the correct one and try again.Re: are you towing with a short bed crew cab? ol Bombero-JC wrote: Bellpr wrote: I have a F250 Short bed and I have a PullRite Superglide for a short bed truck. It does all the work for me by moving the king pin back as I turn the truck. LOVE IT! Never have to worry about manually moving it back and forth. It just does it automatically. Auto-matically? How do it know??? SG - 2nd only to a thermos (keeps hot things hot and cold thing cold)..;) . The King pin pivots on a cam with the 5er. There is a plate on the 5er that makes the king pin hitch plate turn with the 5er. Instead of the king pin turning on the hitch plate. As the 5er turns a cam on the underside of the superglide hitch forces the king pin to the rear of the truck bed. Auto-magically. then as the 5er straightens out the cam forces the king pin hitch plate forward in the truck bed back over the rear axle. check out the video link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzC2smgte74Re: Satellite TV or CableI also picked up a free antenna off a friends house. its for Direct TV and Standard Def. Would like to find one in HD. All I need to do is make or buy a tri-pod for it.Re: Wireless networks while campingHas anyone found a product like HugheNet Gen4 for Home Satellite Internet Service that is portable and could be used for RVing?Re: Wireless networks while campingwe've been to campgrounds where our Verizon phones did not have a signal, so I assume Verizon MiFi would be useless?
