Also our 2014 Honda CRV uses Here maps, although Honda cheaped out and opted for a less is better option. The maps are good. Comparing different mapping products is hard because no mapping software updates sat content yearly, partly because of the cost and partly because of the fact that the newer content may not yet be available.Re: Password Manager QuestionLastpass Been using it for years. Love it!Re: Greetings from GermanyWelcome Joe I love Germany. Had the privilege of living in Lahr for 5 years. Beautiful country and looking forward to going back someday for a visit. JoeRe: Trailer WiringThat's right Dachristianman. On my trailer I could power the fridge and charge the battery while driving. It was good because when I got to my destination the fridge was cold and ready to be stocked.Re: Canadian BorderWhen talking about inspections, I agree that the border agents won't do anything themselves. I will say that in New Brunswick they may hold the vehicle and call the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement folks. They have mobile mechanics who can do a safety inspection of a vehicle right there. They may be named "Commercial" but their mandate is to enforce the motor vehicle act. In both New Brunswick and Nova Scotia they will have these folks at road side police checks and do safety inspections right there. A vehicle that is unsafe can be towed away. I haven't heard of it happening personally, just know it would be possible for them to do that.Re: Navigation software for a laptop...I plan all my trips with Streets and Trips. For my turn by turn navigation I've used TomTom GPSs for many years. I like the idea of DW following along on Streets and Trips while I follow my trusted TomTom.Re: Anyone have problems parking their class B in their DrivewayThere is one community where I use to live here in Canada that wouldn't allow it. They would come by, take a picture and send you or the home owner a fine. As a point of interest also not allowed under the city by laws are trailers of any kind, and business vehicle (half ton with a business decal is not allowed). All of these will see the home owner fined and/or the vehicle towed from the property. I think it's crazy in most respects.Re: Full Timing With WeaponsI haven't read all the posts in the 11 pages, but wanted to weigh in. I'm from Canada, ex-military and worked in protective services for 20 years so fire arms don't bother me. Being from Canada, I find it hard to fathom people just carry fire arms around, we just don't do that. Not saying it's wrong, just not something we are use to. For me, I'd say unless it's needed, keep it stowed away. The problem you ran into is you had the weapon out. Don't know if there was a need or not, but the need would have to be very high before I would take our a fire arm. Protection from animals may be a reason, but for all the years I've spend in the woods I've never felt I needed a weapon to protect myself. I do carry bear spray. Like I said I'm comfortable with weapons and do think our gun laws up here could be eased a bit. I also can't say that if I could carry, I wouldn't. Just a different perspective I guess.Re: Flexseal ???I'm with Topflite. I use to sell it in a store I managed. All reviews by customers were great. That said, don't expect it to be a total fix. It will get you through to a full repair. I used it on the roof of my travel trailer, lasted 2 summers before I saw signs of leaks again.Re: SNOWBIRDI use to work for a company that provided Security Patrol. We had several clients that had us check on their houses. Most told me about their insurance companies telling them someone had to physically check on the house every 48 hours in the winter. This gave them the piece of mind that someone was coming into the house on a schedule.
