A few months ago we stopped at a state rest area in the afternoon on the way to Charleston and the desk attendant had a list of some hotels that had availability for that night at a discount rate. We stayed at a historic hotel right in downtown, can't recall the name. We have stayed at Planters Inn right by the Market and like it very much. 2014 Montana HC 5200 rated axles Rear axle has lost its arch and I cannot find a place in Al,Ga,Tn,Fl that has them in stock or can rebend this one. Dexter Model D 52. Any help in finding new one or fixing this one will be appreciated. Is the only difference between 5200 and 6000 the dimensions and would there be a problem running a 5200 and a 6000. The cut-outs on newer 5ers donot eleminate the possibility of cab-trailer contact. I have seen 2018 truck and 5er crunch while backing into a site. I have been towing 2014 montana with a 2013 Ram short bed and a Pullright auto-slider for 6 yrs and have never been unable to get straight enough to unhitch. Some State rest areas in Louisiana and Texas have been named by the states as "safe rest areas" or some similar name and welcome overnighters and have free coffee after 8 or so in the A.M. Some have specific areas for RVs away from the truck areas and have armed overnight security patrolling all nite. We used several on a trip last Sept and felt very secure,even hooked our Honda 2000 up to run the AC. Check with the state DOT.578Views0likes0Comments
