However - it may hit 93 a few days. So got me to thinking of generators. From reading I think I can get away with running a 2500w-3000w min to power my ac only - as needed. Of course there are lots to choose from. I'd like it to be quite as possible for a good price. Also would like to be able to pick one up at the store. No time for shipping. Recommendations? I'm hoping to stay in $250.00-$300.00 price range?Re: Rotating Hitch 180deltabravo: agreedRe: Rotating Hitch 180Yes APT...good point. I am concerned about the lack of holes. I've seen others on line and they have more holes. No idea why it was designed that way? I MAY have to replace that part? I wonder if I can drill new holes? I will have to see what happens when I get it back. I do have another bar somewhere about that may work. I have to use the ball part so I can use old WD bars - which work very well. Thanks!Re: Rotating Hitch 180Cool. Good point about tailgate. Looks like I should be ok. I will check. Thanks! BTW I found a pic backing this up.... http://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=SJ2JV8RE&id=7FD5E1399808036FEDC1E42FE6B38357CB90A3FA&q=rotate+hitch+draw+bar+for+height&simid=608029802748773319&selectedIndex=2&ajaxhist=0Rotating Hitch 180Is there any problem rotating my bar 180 to gain rise? I probably only will need an inch. Having new axles put on that I know will raise me at least 4 inches. Re: Spring Over Axle Conversion@GoDucks: Thanks for the great advice and info. I got a quote from a trailer (not dealer) for 1900 for everything including tires. Yeah it's high. But I think its pretty good for everything. This would be an upgrade as well to a straight axle with 6 lug (currently 5) wheels. It's an old camper..but we love it. To axles are like the engine of a trailer and I feel I can justify the cost.Re: Spring Over Axle Conversionredoing the whole axle would mean basically everything..correct? Drums, brakes, etc. basically you'd keep the tires....and by then you can get bigger ones?Re: Spring Over Axle ConversionIs there an option to raise the trailer with some sort of booster? Someone just asked me that question.Re: Spring Over Axle Conversion@goducks: Is that considered a drop axle? Are you saying to get a whole new centered axle?Re: Spring Over Axle ConversionYes...I know its a sight to behold. But everything functions currently. I do believe that it is all surface rust. It is an 89. It was used as a fire department demo for fire safety and don't think it has actually seen many travel miles. I drove to and from NJ to Indiana with no issues.
