I will check it when I get some free time.Re: Towing a boatI've considered this for my 5er as well, adding a strengthened bumper/receiver to pull my boat, but how are the lights tied in to accommodate another trailer? Do they have to run a separate wiring harness for the boat trailer or are the wires accessible?Re: Low profile tool box and fiverI have a low profile tool box from Lowes on my F250 CC (6.5' bed). It is only about 2" taller than the rail and only about 12" front to back. After seeing that it caused no problems with my 5'er, 3 of my friends went to Lowes to get themselves the same box. I like this better than the in-the-bed version because I can still put stuff on the floor of the bed under the box.Re: Removing light oxidationIs your front cap painted brown? I had the same problem on my 2016 Crusader; brown painted front cap oxiding/fading. Just got it back from the dealer yesterday. Had the front cap stripped, repainted and re-decaled under warranty due to faulty paint from the paint manufacturer. I notice yours is a 2015. I would call the dealer/manufacturer and have them repaint it, under warranty, of course. Also, I have been told that the only real solution is to have it stripped, repainted and clearcoated otherwise the oxidation will return.Re: Secure your hitch waltbennett wrote: Tabs (instead of the standard clips) that allow padlocks to lock down a hitch are available on Amazon for under $20 http://smile.amazon.com/Hitch-Plates-Fifth-Trailer-Hitches/dp/B00CFRERXM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1455390964&sr=8-3&keywords=5th+wheel+hitch+locks Maybe you could find them cheaper, and you'll still need to buy a set of padlocks, but these work. x2Re: Equal bearing for both sides of landing gear?My driveway is not level side-to-side so I went to CW and got the adjustable (screw in/out to adjust) feet for the landing gear on my old 5er. I would pull the pin until the foot is about 1" from wood on ground, then adjust each leg accordingly and then run them down with the powered switch. Worked perfectly. http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/ultra-adjustable-footpad/61529Re: Has anyone used Rain-Ex on the nose of their 5th-wheel?Rain-X window treatment is alcohol based. I don't think I would use that on fiberglass as it may strip the finish. The Rain-X car wash should be safe for the finish, though. But I vote for the Maguire's also.Re: Good Sam RSA not so good!I have an update as well. Just spoke to Customer Service at GS and had a follow up call from the Corp HQ. After talking with them and explaining the situation I had, a resolution was reached and GS has made good on their commitment to make sure that I am satisfied. I have a better understanding of the way they go about calling for a tow. Maybe the day I needed a tow was just a bad day to need a tow.Re: Trailer Saver hitch rickeoni wrote: BD3 here also, first and only fifth wheel hitch we ever had. Please advise what this chucking thing is. Rick No one has answered Rick's question. I, too, wonder what chucking is.Re: Good Sam RSA not so good! The rear brakes on my truck locked up so I called GS RSA. I was told they would dispatch a tow truck and to look for him in about 2 hours. WHAT???? This is my home town and they contracted a tow company that was about 30 minutes north of town. Also, they wouldn't tow it to MY mechanic without an additional charge. Only to the shop nearest to me at the time. My mechanic was about 4 more miles away. After a few choice words with the person on the phone, I told them to forget it. I called the service my mechanic uses and they were there in 45 minutes. GS can do better than that!! I haven't cancelled it yet but I will.
