Thank you everyone, we will be going through the park. I am experienced in Mountain driving and don't mind it, but the 22 may be a lot more then I want to take on. Plus we are with another Rv that is 0 experience in mountain driving I will be taking them to our local mountains before we take this trip and show them how to use their transmission and their brakes and retarder. I just had the wiring harnessed replaced in mine a month ago, mine was low air light and buzzer was coming on but the gauges where fine, would come on 10 min into the trip or 5 hour into the trip, smooth and rough roads. Looking to go to Carlsbad Caverns during Thanksgiving week. Anyone have any suggestions on where to stay that is not to far from the park? There will be two class A's towing, one 38 ft and the other 32 ft. I know there is a KOA in town and will stay there if there is nothing else. This summer we went to Pa from Ca. Only made one reservation before leaving the stick house, only to find out we really did not need to. We would call a couple hrs ahead to find a spot, only one time did we need to make changes on our return trip back to CA. because it was a Saturday and I was wanting to get west of Denver, Nothing was available so I had to shut down a lot sooner then I wanted too. You will want to avoid the Cajon pass at all cost on a Sunday when heading south and on Friday going North, they are doing major road work and it has been a mess. You will find Cajon pass just south of Hesperia on I-15 this pass will drop you down in the San Bernardino area.
