I had that happen to mine-- in fact it had flames out of the vent and up the side of the trailer. I found a spider web inside the burner tube. I cleaned it, and never a problem again.
I have the Husky 4500 -- don't go for a light one, when the heavy duty is only a few dollars more. I did have to enlarge the hole in the tongue a little.
