Re: What happened to our RV.net?? lol people really hate change! I too prefer the old forum, it was simple and easy if outdated but calling the "new" site a disaster is a bit ridiculous. Even if they went back to the old forum these people would just find something else to complain about. East Glacier RV Parks Hey, looking for some suggestions for RV parks in East Glacier around St Mary. I'll be spending a few days there in August with my wife and 5yr old daughter. There doesn't seem to be many options and from what I can they all look somewhat run down with small sites with very mixed reviews. The KOA is an option, but it's ridiculously expensive...Johnson’s of St. Mary and Heart of Glacier seems to be the only good alternatives and are quite a bit cheaper but other than nice views at Johnson's they don't look very nice from the pictures I've seen. Is there any reason to spend the extra the KOA charges? Thanks! SolvedRe: Insane first RV trip plan?you'd want to plan some places to stay in advance, things fill up quickly in the summer as many people have mentioned. 8 hours of driving isn't bad as long as you know you have a spot to spend the night at the end of it. But, don't let anyone tell you it's too much of a trip or you need to sleep in your driveway the first night or you can only drive for a few hours a day. Our first ever rv trip was over 10 000km (6000 miles) in just three weeks from Alberta to places like Texas and Arizona and 4 National Parks (There weren't any kids with us, which certainly helped!). You'll be fine and have an amazing experience. And, if you don't enjoy it you'll learn what does and doesn't work for you. You can always go back to places you enjoy another time and spend more time there.Re: Solis Lit hotspotthanks for the help though!Re: Solis Lit hotspotsolis claims to work in over 135 countries and doesn't use a sim card so it isn't limited by being linked to any specific cell service provider, it appears it can use just about any provider in the world so the likelihood of picking up a signal is greaterSolis Lit hotspothey, I'm wondering if anyone has an experience using the solis wifi hotspot. I am thinking of picking one up along with one of their data plans so I can have wifi when camping. Ideally I want something I can use to stream. We do alot of camping in Canada and usually do a two or three trip to the US so having something that works in both spots is very appealing. I'm just curious if anyone has any positive or negative experiences with how it works or some other recommendations. Thanks!Re: Mattress RecommendationsWe got one of those foam mattresses that come in a box but it wasn't a short queen, which we needed, so I just cut off 6in or so and it works great. In our previous trailer we put a 3in memory foam topper on that garage RV mattress it came with but still weren't happy...woke up sore and hot.Re: best route to/from Waterton, AB canada Salem27RKSS wrote: I appreciate everyone's feedback. Now I'll just wait and see if the Border opens. If the border opens good luck booking a site in Waterton!Re: nautilus retractable shower door questionThanks, I assumed they just did a poor job installing it but was curious if other people had a similar issue or not. I'll get some caulk before the next trip.
