The 2nd AC is directly above the bedroom which is in the front of the trailer. So is it best to run the main AC during the day then switch to the bedroom at night? Both units are hooked into the ducting but the main doesn't blow much air in the bedroom. Also is it OK to run the main AC and run just the fan on the bedroom unit? When I do that it blows more cold air in the bedroom. They are both Coleman-Mach units.Best chocks for auto leveling system? We just bought a Jayco Eagle with the Lippert Ground Control 3 4-point leveling system. Is it better to use basic yellow wedge chocks or can in-between tire chocks be used (and are the better)?Re: What is the risk of exceeding payload? If you're 300 over based on specs you're going to be a lot more over in reality. That truck payload is probably with a 150 lb driver and nothing else. Add more people, cargo, firewood, etc to that truck and your payload will shrink fast.Re: 3/4t vs 1t differences mtofell1 wrote: When I purchased my Ram 2500 about 15 months ago the 2500s came with the new coil springs while the 3500 had old fashioned leafs and the ride was noticeably different. Also, at least in my area, 3500s are MUCH more rare on the lots. If I wanted one with anything close to the options I was after I would have had to order it. I guess I'll just have to get by with a meager 3000# of payload :) You must have a gasser because with Ram diesel 2500 ~2000# payload and 3500 ~4000 payload. My dealer currently has 90 2500's and 152 3500's (mix of SRW and DWR). My salesguy said for people that tow spending ~$600 to double the payload is a no-brainer. Woodhouse InventoryRe: What is the current state of big 3 diesels? They are all great trucks and as complicated they are these days there's plenty of places to have problems. That doesn't mean they will but there are a lot of pieces to these modern diesels. I have a 2015 Ram 3500 SWR and my buddy has a 2015 Chevy 3500 SWR. It's amazing how similar our trucks are even down to only 50 lbs. difference in towing capacity. Both of our trucks will tow all day in 2nd OD on the interstate and barely notice there's a trailer behind them. I went to a diesel clinic with head mechanics from all three dealers and they said 2013 is when they all really figured out the new emissions and also got mileage a lot better. With 4000 miles on mine I'm averaging 17.9 daily driving and 12.0 towing around 10k. My last tank daily driving was 19.53 so no complaints with mileage.Re: "EASY" Cummins 6.7 2013+ oil change! Bionic Man wrote: You know that there are some people on here that will argue that it is easier to change a tire on their tow vehicle because there is a better design on the (insert brand here) lugs. You will never convince the troller that anything, especially RAM is on par with a beloved Blue Oval, so why try? Exactly. I recently went to a diesel clinic at my dealer that has a top 3 Ram dealer in the nation, a #1 Ford truck dealer in the nation, plus a Chevy dealer. After the presentation and questions we all went into the shop and they had diesels from each where people could ask questions. Looking at them all side-by-side: - The Ram had the most room to work under the hood - The Chevy was a little more crowed - The Ford was a freakin' cluster-f... Of course someone on here has a cousin who's ex-wife's ex-husband knows a guy who works on diesels and said that Ford has the most room.Re: Gm trucks really selling strong !!I had a 2006 Dodge 2500 CTD and recently bought a 2015 Ram 3500 CTD. I saw this graphic while researching which really surprised me how well Ram was doing in the HD category. A buddy got a 2015 Chevy 3500 which is also a nice truck. We were both amazed how similar both trucks were and how advanced they compared to our previous 10+ old trucks. It's fun getting into pissing matches about sales numbers, 0-60, quarter mile up a hill while pulling a house, etc. In reality all of the big three diesels will pull our campers all day on the interstate in OD and get to the campground in the same time.Ram vs Ford vs Chevy frame twistHard to determine a winner from the two videos but one brand appears to have the bronze medal locked up. Ram vs Ford Chevy vs FordRe: "EASY" Cummins 6.7 2013+ oil change!Your #1 fan's Ford has a lot fewer steps. 1. Remove cab 2. Get er doneRe: Ford superduty inventory ? About an hour later I go by again with the intent to pull over if required and the RAM was on a Super Duty F550 flat bed and a Chevy was hooked up to the 5ver. I was tempted to take a picture to share with cumminsv98 but you know what they say about karma! BS, everyone knows if you saw a Ram broken down on the interstate you would have been streaming live video to the local TV stations.
