In generaly highway drives, longest being 1600 miles round trip I average 18.6, NOT TOWING. Towing 6700 lbs I was getting 13-14.Re: Diesel vs gas......................Truth be told...this isn't a pi$$ing contest here. As stated earlier, a TV is going to be a personal decision. I owned an '05 Duramax....absolutely fantastic truck that was crazy with power and as quick as a big block gasser. But times changed for myself and my family....I didn't need the diesel anymore....move on. I now have a V10....and wow, I can't say enough good about it. Mileage?? Who cares, I have the vehicle for one purpose (well a few actually), and that is to tow my camper when and where I'd like. We all can agree that we do not own these ridiculously large vehicles because they get great gas mileage. If you want mileage, by a hybrid and a perm. site somewhere and knock yourself out. In the mean time...enjoy what you have infront of you and happy camping....that's what we're here.
