I will definitely be replacing both sides of the connection. I will look into the Marinco. And hopefully find them local.Re: Electrical problem with 2014 Heritage GlennDo you think that's the cause of my power issues? I'll definitely be ordering a new power cord and inlet. But I'd hate to just fix a symptom and it happen again to the new cord.Re: Electrical problem with 2014 Heritage GlennUpdate. Today the power went off again and I went straight to the campers panel box. I took the cover off and tested the wires going to the main breaker and nothing, wiggled everything and power never flashed on or anything. Went to the plug on the outside of the camper and tested the power cord and had power there but noticed that one of the holes on the end of the power cord had melted a little. My guess is it happened the last time the power went off because I remember the power bumping on then right back off 3 times over 20 mins until it finally stayed on, but I really don't know. Anybody have any guesses? I would think a loose connection arcing could cause this but the connection between the power cord and plug on the side of the camper feels tight. The power did come back on about 10 mins or so after coming back inside but I'm a little worried after seeing the burnt end of the plugRe: Electrical problem with 2014 Heritage GlennThanks everyone for the replys, I will update this post the next time the power goes out.. I haven't heard of a surge protector being installed on it, how could I tell if there was one?Re: Electrical problem with 2014 Heritage GlennOk, when I got home my wife told me the power had been off for hours. So I went straight for the campers panel box. I got all 4 screws out that were holding the cover on and the instant I started pulling the cover off the power popped on, so it's definitely in the panel box. I checked every screw I could and couldn't find one that was loose. I wiggled every wire that I could and never saw even a flicker in the power. Hopefully next time it goes out it will stay off long enough for me to get the cover off and the multi meter in there.Re: Electrical problem with 2014 Heritage GlennThanks for the replys, the power cord is plugged straight into a 50 amp 4 prong receptacle, no adapters. I will check for loose connections tonight.Re: Electrical problem with 2014 Heritage GlennI've also checked the power at the breaker box and going into the camper at the cord outside with a multimeter and there's no problems there either.Electrical problem with 2014 Heritage GlennHey all, I'm a new RV owner and new to the forum. I wish my first post wasn't because of a problem I was having but I do need some help. We bought our 2014 heritage glenn 356qbq about a month or so ago to live in after we sold our house and while we were building a new one. We've been living in it for 3 weeks but have noticed a reoccurring problem. Randomly the 120v power will cut off leaving just the 12v stuff running off of the batteries. I check the campers breaker box and nothing is ever tripped, I then check the dedicated 50amp breaker that the camper is running off of and it's never tripped, I then go to the receptacle to make sure it hasn't pulled out and I've never found it moved but yet the power will stay off for usually around an hour to an hour and a half, until suddenly it'll cut back on. It's happened 3 times now, and all 3 times the power has come back on at a time I'm not actively doing anything, like I'll be standing in the living room thinking and it'll cut back on. Since this is my first camper I have very little experience, so I'm hoping someone can point me towards some other things to check. Thanks in advance for an help!
