I bought the steadyfast system and had moderate success with it. It definitely helps but still has quite a bit of shake. I've tried numerous different tricks to no avail. I'm going to try a set of jacks in front of the axles next to see if that helps. I can feel it every time one of my kids moves around in their bed and it drives me crazy.539Views0likes0CommentsRe: Normal Lifespan of A/C Units?
My rig's in the shop right now for A/C problems. The air feels cold blowing out the vent but the thing isn't cooling. We live in Arkansas with typically hot humid summers and the first year we had it the unit worked great. 2nd Summer it has been more mild than usual and we can't seem to keep the rig cooled. I took it to the shop before my trip to Destin and they said that a divider plate was blocking part of the duct and they taped it in place and it ran fine. Down in Destin it was 85 degrees most days and even running all night the unit wouldn't cool us down to 70 degrees inside. I've always been told a properly sized unit will maintain a maximum of 22 degree difference between the outside and inside temp so at 90 degrees I should be able to maintain 68 inside.398Views0likes0CommentsRe: Roof maintenance
I will be inspecting my roof more often. I had my Montana in to have the A/C looked at since it wasn't cooling as well as it should. The service guy called when he went up on my roof and found a scrape and tear in my roof apparently from a tree limb. We had just gotten back from a long vacation and it either happened on the way home or when I was bringing it to the Service Center so I was lucky it was caught so soon.233Views0likes0CommentsRe: Dodge Truck
My 2012 GMC started doing this and it turned out it was the tread separating on the rear tires. The wonderful Good(for a)Year OEM tires that came on it with 30K miles. Why did they have to do away with the gravity fill. My 2013 Mountaineer has a vent out the rear that I was thinking about replacing with a gravity fill/vent combo. It was a lot easier to sanitize the tank with the gravity fill.386Views0likes0Comments
